      Huge hopes I see, but a win or two against anyone in a world cup would show progress. But a world cup championship for Canada will not happen in the near or far future. To many great /soccer/football countries out there. Maybe make a final 8 one day, now that's a realistic dream...

    One of the best performances from this Canada side, and they've had so so so many standout performances since Jesse Marsch came in. Even though Larin didn't score, he looked so much more dangerous than he did during the Copa America, Ali Ahmed and Mathieu Choiniere also competing for the starting spots in their respective areas, and our leaders, like David, Davies and Staq look comfortable to play again.

    As an American who supports USMNT and is passionate about the sport I'm proud to see Canada and Canadian soccer grow to where it is today, I hope it can reach the level of popularity as hockey is there. Truly watching Canada play is an enjoyment. At the end of the day when our colony wins, we all win.

    The score flattered the US side, but on another note, there were many chances to have increased the score. Room to improve, coach has done a great job with just a very few bona fide strikers. Team plays aggressive, a joy to watch.

    A massive win 67 years in the making!!🇨🇦🇨🇦 This was without a doubt one of the best performances I’ve ever seen out of our guys. Aside from the sloppy defence on the De La Torre (offside) goal, they came to play right from kickoff until the final whistle and didn’t let the lead get away like against Uruguay and in past Gold Cup clashes. A new era of Canadian soccer has well and truly begun under Jesse Marsch, and after this and finishing fourth at the Copa America, I truly can’t wait to see what’s in store for our team in the near future! COME ON CANADA!!! WELL DONE, BOYS, HUGE VICTORY!!!🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

    An okay match from two mid sides. The US defense just gifted those two goals to Canada. Low quality passes from that position at this level are unacceptable. The US MUST shuffle that backline. No where near good enough. Canada's backline was marginally better, but needed to clear faster and harder.

    Great game by Canada. I have to say, I'm getting concerned for Larin though. He seems to be developing a bad habit of botching very high quality scoring opportunities. Yet again, in this game he absolutely fails on a VERY high quality opp for a goal. This is going to come back to bite Canada in the asterisk if it isn't resolved. Getting in all alone and kicking the ball right at the keeper (again) is child's play.

    It was just a friendly tbf. US fans making too much of this defeat. Players rarely give 100% in these games. It was just an opportunity for Poch to assess some of the players and he won’t be reading too much into the result.

    I think the USA made a mistake when the rehired Greg Berhalter, they should have hire Jessie March, now Canada has got him and Canada is beating the USA like so easy, by the way even Jamaica could beat that USA team today, and Jamaica struggled to 0-0 draw against a weak Cuba team.

      Gareth Wheeler should know he's not a top-level play-by-play announcer and just step aside for someone who is. OneSoccer should know too. They have better announcers who voice CPL games, so why don't they use them?
