One of the best performances from this Canada side, and they've had so so so many standout performances since Jesse Marsch came in. Even though Larin didn't score, he looked so much more dangerous than he did during the Copa America, Ali Ahmed and Mathieu Choiniere also competing for the starting spots in their respective areas, and our leaders, like David, Davies and Staq look comfortable to play again.

Aside from the sloppy defence on the De La Torre (offside) goal, they came to play right from kickoff until the final whistle and didn’t let the lead get away like against Uruguay and in past Gold Cup clashes. A new era of Canadian soccer has well and truly begun under Jesse Marsch, and after this and finishing fourth at the Copa America, I truly can’t wait to see what’s in store for our team in the near future! Yet again, in this game he absolutely fails on a VERY high quality opp for a goal. This is going to come back to bite Canada in the asterisk if it isn't resolved. Getting in all alone and kicking the ball right at the keeper (again) is child's play.

The ball came off the defender when he made the tackle on Larin. You can't be offside when it comes off an opposing player.

I think the USA made a mistake when the rehired Greg Berhalter, they should have hire Jessie March, now Canada has got him and Canada is beating the USA like so easy, by the way even Jamaica could beat that USA team today, and Jamaica struggled to 0-0 draw against a weak Cuba team.

It was just a friendly tbf. US fans making too much of this defeat. Players rarely give 100% in these games. It was just an opportunity for Poch to assess some of the players and he won’t be reading too much into the result.
