So spleef was ALWAYS meant to mimic tron's Light Cycle battles, yeah? Why don't we try a round where we mimic it slightly more accurately. No, I don't mean adding walls. I mean adding more spud guns so the lines you draw are as thick as your vehicles. In classic spleef when someone cuts you off, it's with the intention that you can't just walk over their line because the gap is so big. However, this is balanced out with the ability to jump (no idea how you can implement that, but if you can make the vehicle jump over gaps, do that too). This is appealing because, like in classic spleef, it provides more strategies for how you can box-in your opponents.
@@osanixian1499 In minecraft, the blocks are 1-character big. Meaning if you were to "walk" over a gap, you would fall into it. You could still "jump" over it, but not walk over it.
A suggestion, connect the starting button of the vehicles to a logic gate and make it and shoot off the starting button at the beginning, so you cant accidentally turn off your vehicle anymore. Second idea for spleef: An arena with multiple layers of glass, cardboard, sand (so you cant cut out pieces with the first pass) and with "burried" explosives on different depths hidden across the field
Unrelated to this video, sorry, but I've been watching a bunch of your Zeepkist stuff, and had a thought- what about a Pacman-themed map, with checkpoints instead of the little pellets, where you can take whichever route you want to get them all? Spleef content is fun as always too! I didn't expect this to be such a drastic change but it actually made for a really interesting one. For another idea, what about having potato cannons on both sides of the vehicles, so every intersection cuts out a little chunk?
Here's an idea for you next spleef. Arena repair/ printing arena. just have a set of pistons with some vacuum tubes just constantly repairing/printing portions of the arena from the sides. maybe have some auto spud guns perpendicular/opposite deleting block to clean up
Was skeptical of the idea but this was one of the more fun spleefs. The way the cars are super slow turning and move much faster going straight was pretty unique too.
Ohhhh the reversing is a cool idea! 👍 You could do a more evil version of this idea, where the 4 wheels & seat actually turn on 'steering'-like-bearings, so every 15s it just rotates all wheels & seat 90' in a random direction, you can use suspension glitch to make actual user-input-steering easy without requiring a massive brainmelt logic contraption.
You could easily make all the cars auto start at once by shooting a hidden switch on the bottom of the cars with the starting platform. Id think that would be an easy way to fix any sync issues. And any extra cars not involved will just drive off the edge! no need to worry about them at all! (or an AND gated switch to start said cars) But a fun video! Ive been enjoying watching you all find new and interesting ways to cut each other off!
Spleef but there are no seats or mounted spudguns. You have to manually push buttons to steer and use spudling guns to cut. The vehicle still continually moves so you have to decide when to cut or steer.
New spleef idea: RC Spleef. If possible, make RC spleef cars and put the seats high enough to get a view of the whole map. Would be pretty cool. A top-down spleef game.
to ensure they start when the timer does, you can attach them to the ground with cardboard, and use a nor instead of a switch, so when the cardboard is shot, the nor will become unpowered, and power the logic
You should have connected the start switch to a spudgun, which turns on each car. It would mean that the buttons would need to be accessable from somewhere, probably the bottom. You could also connect all vehicles to the stage turn them all on with the switch then disconnect with a spud gun and cardboard
I had thought instead of using a manual spudder gun to hit the start game, what if you placed it under the vehicles starter zone in a im ready type thing requiring all three spleef vehicles to be turned it turns on gamez in hopes the game actually starts at 0.00 game time much as possible.
Id love to see a Juggernaut spleef where there are points on the map, where if somebody drives over it, will release a OP Juggernaut with robot steering, with a secret self destruct that can be trigger if shot enough.
Ideas: 1. Every x amount of seconds a boost is activated and inverts controls. 2. Every vehicle has buttons not hooked up to the seat that when an opponent shoot it, makes the opponent spin in x amount of degrees, drive backwards for x seconds or boost for x seconds. 3. Its normal speef but every vehicle has special CHEAT CODES that can only be enabled with a sequence of key presses. Eg: up, up, down, down, left, right, etc.
You should do point to point spleef. You can move your car in 8 directions and it moves forwards a fixed amount. It's basically q grid but with way too many directions you can move. But it adds a bunch of weird behavior and traps to speed.
Spleef idea: permanently attached sections with a challenge sensor and explosives underneath. Every section has a timer, that cycles on and off (50% of the time it's on, and 50% of the time it's off, each timer has a different cycle length). Whenever a car drives over a sensor and the timer happens to be on, it triggers explosives and blows up the car. So, the challenge is having to decide to either drive over the sensor and possibly explode, or go over the cardboard, that may be already gone by that time. Bombs are cool.
A line of spudguns behind the car timed to simultaneously fire all of the guns at say 3 sec intervals creating parallel lines instead of one continuous line.
R/C spleef. Spleef with constantly revolving turret. RNG Spleef, where your gun turns on and off for a random amount of seconds 1-9. So your gun could be on for 3 seconds then off for 9, then on for 5 and off for 2, so on and so forth. And you can't see the number, so you will have no idea how long it will last.
When you are making these where timing matters, you should have the start switch activate the vehicles with spud guns shooting internal switches, then other ones breaking the vehicles free of their cardboard supports, so they're all synced.
Spleef idea... you can only steer using a hammer, only have a handheld spudgun, and sections of the arena are pre-cut, so you dont have to spend forever cutting sections out with your spud gun.

kAN, you're a logic guy. You can setup some intricate systems, right? There was that explosive spleef back a few months ago. I think you should revisit it with the concept of there's color sensors under the map that might explode if you're the "correct" color or it might explode after the correct color has passed over it X number of times (2 or 3). BUT not only make those sensors hidden, but also make it so they're "remote detonating" explosives away from the sensor. Color code the map with "generally" the colors of the explosives and their range, wrap the explosives in plastic or wood, have the sensors placed all over and instead of it being "explosive" or "land mine" spleef, the concept would be "artillery" spleef. You running over the color sensor will make 1 of (they'll be programmed for the same sensor to detonate the same area) the same colored areas blow up, but the vast majority of the map IS tagged in color. To throw everyone off, you could also slap an odd colored block on the bottom of the spleef cars that don't have a matching colored area and are more "random" strikes. Like the gimmick is that the sensors are right under the cardboard and a block of the vehicle's color will be on the rear and bottom of the vehicle so a sensor can read it as it passes by after being cleared up by the spud gun. Tack a random color or even a different vehicle's color on the block in front of the block of the vehicle's color to set up "random" hits that can completely take out someone directly, it could just cut the entire floor out. Something like that. OR! You could set it up to quite literally be a bombardment. Have explosive spawners over head that will go off with the corresponding sensor.
Idea for next spleef! Interference spleef! Cars have two exposed buttons on them one on front which stops the car for a set period of time and one on the back which reverses the car for a set period, but dont have character spud guns but arena random spud guns!
How about Spleef with a re-chargeable small boost? Might need a few more spud guns to make sure you get all the blocks when boosting. But I think it'd add a cool dynamic and strategy . Use your boost a lot and create lots of lines, save it to use strategically at the right moments, use it to save yourself from death. I doubt it'd happen but I have this image of someone being cut out, they use the boost and ramp off the broken piece back onto the map, like how epic would that be.
New Spleef Idea: Blind Spleef - you build two playing areas and the playing areas can't see each other. you control one like normal but with no spud gun but it also controls the other one that has the spud gun. this way you can see where everybody is on your playing area but can't see where there is no ground. if you die you explode to single your spud gun car died.
Once again, requesting remote control spleef, where you all play from elevated walkways, and have to shoot buttons on your drones to steer them below you. Of course, that also means you can shoot the floor out, but at the cost of not having time to control your drone.
Walker spleef? Nothing too big but with the risk of your legs (or maybe lifting and lowering wheels) falling into a hole and getting stuck. If a 4 legged one is not stable enough, then maybe one with 6 raising and lowering wheels
What if you made actual reverse spleef, where everyone shoots out cardboard on the ground instead of spuds and the arena had a roof that has a few blocks of wiggle room so you could get stuck if you drove on too much cardboard?
What if you did a similar spleen gimmic, except instead of reversing, your car’s wheels turn sideways and force you to take an immediate 90° turn to one side or the other
