- How do I find fossils along the Jurassic Coast, U.K. - at low tide ! The best tools are your eyes when finding fossils. I recommend wearing safety glasses and sturdy rubber gloves when hammering the right little rocks. Mike uses sturdy rubber gloves, a blunt knife and eye glasses whilst developing this find from the mudslide. Remember the cliffs are dangerous and liable to fall suddenly and without warning. Keep away from the dangerous cliffs, the best fossils are washed out onto the beaches at low tide, by the sea's actions. Look out for the slippery seaweed on the ledges and rocks. I offer fossil walks along the Jurassic Coast on the following website, so feel free to take a look at the website I made, with our online fossil walks ------www.lymeregisfo... There is a fossil collecting code of conduct in place along the Jurassic Coast ! #rockhounding #fossilhunt #crinoid
See my longer fossil hunting video on RUclips! It’s called “ Jurassic Coast Colossal Crinoid (Part 2) Thanks 🙏 for watching
Great stuff, I have made quite a lot of fossil hunting videos - especially in the Winter 🥶 months ! The weather has to be fairly kind or it’s too cold to film 🎦
@@LymeRegisFossils желаю Вам отличной погоды для прогулок, для новых находок)
Не замерзайте и не уставайте, пожалуйста🤗💖💖💖🌹
@@Gianni-10888thanks very much ! The sea air always wakes me up 🆙, that fresh air hits my face and I wake 😊up 🙌 🙏🙏
@@LymeRegisFossils🥰🤗❤️
very enjoyable.. thank you! I can imagine you found the nearest tea shop as the rain made it over top.
So nice of you to say ! - thanks 🙏 for that ! I have got my thermos flask ready to use now, in these colder days 🙌
Thanks 🙏 for the comments! It was really lucky 🍀 to spot that bit of jaw bone . It was just sad that it had one eroded tooth in it. I’ll probably keep it to show people what to look for on my guided fossil walks 🙌
Thank you so much for this video! Too often I see amateurs on the beach smashing rocks indiscriminately and finding nothing. Your advice is spot on and thanks for saying that you'd been out all day and only found a few things. It's not always going to be a complete ichthyosaur skeleton you find 😂 Keep up the good work and good luck out there 😁
That’s a very good lot of points that you make ! Thanks 🙏 for all your comments . I have to say some days when I’m drenched I do feel like giving up, but the more time you put in as you know the more you can find at low tide - hopefully 🤞
Loved the video and happy to see more to catch up on. I think the impressions are beautiful too🌊🌊🌊
Glad you like them! Thanks 🙏 as always for the comments . The weather’s certainly settled down here, compared to what it has been !
🎉It's always a fun and interesting time. When I tune into this channel, till next time.💯🎉
Thanks for coming along the Jurassic Coast journey at low tide ! I was very pleased with the finds 🙌
Some great finds :-) My last trip to Lyme Regis was unfortunately a bust! Normally I at least find a few small ammonites seiving, but that time, not even one. It was after one of the big winter storms, but it was from the North, so didn't affect the beach as much as I'd hoped.
Sorry to hear that it sounds like storm Darragh that was more of a northerly wind that it brought ! Usually I get the small pyrite ammonites sieving at low tide, picking on the iron pyrite patches . Thanks for the comments
Wow ,great finds Brandon ,I’ve got my sieve ready to go 😊
Good luck! David with the sieving. Thanks a lot for the comments it was really lucky 🍀 those finds, probably thrown up after all the recent stormy 🌊 weather
Great to see you doing longer videos and what a pretty calc ammonite🙂
Glad you like them! I’ll get some more done soon 🔜 thank you 🙏
💥Another great fossil hunting video .👏😌💥
Thanks 🙏 very much indeed for watching ! I’m glad you enjoyed that film 🎥 I did better than I thought I was going to do !
Oh wow look at that section of Temnodontosaurus jawbone!!
Thanks 🙏 it was a good chunky ichthyosaur jaw bone, washed up in the stormy 🌊 weather. 🍀
Realy noce Video, Brandon! The big part of an Ammonite, do you think it was Schlotheimia? I remember the one in Martins collection...
Thanks 🙏 karsten I think 💭 Schlotheimia , like the one I found in Martin’s collection! Great suture patterns with those ammonites 🙌
Wow, love the jawbone! How much do you think it is worth and is it for sale?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you 🙏
