That's true. There was no electron microscopy in 1898. However, I added that image just so you can see what it looks like. 🙂
Correct, that's why they had to invent the invisible boogeyman of 'viruses' when they couldn't find any bacteria and never questioned that (still) unproven 'theory'.
That wasn't an image of a virus. It was an image of cells in decay. An image that is identical to many, many others of non-infected cells simply dying and which no one has been able to identify any difference between those and the 'claimed' images of viruses.
