Yet look at this man, he has a bond with each of these animals and he clearly loves each one of them and the animals clearly trust and love him back, he goes out of his way to make sure they are happy, safe and healthy, an my point is proven when he gives them all a dental check up. Black Ice My feeling is that since these animals were hand raised it would not be right for him to stop the human contact and just care for them through the fences with minimal contact. I think that it would not be good for them. So Kevin really did the only thing he could do. The people who say these animals need to be in the wild are not realizing that these are not fully wild animals because of the contact when they were young so they can not be put back into the wild.

These animals view Kevin and others who work with them with respect and a healthy fear. But their view of anyone else is that they are not afraid to kill them. They have no fear within them that keeps them from doing so. Animals in the wild either are so terrified of humans that they run from them, or they have within them a sense of fear of getting too close to humans, even those they repeatedly come around, such as when around a house, who never harm them. Kevin can not possibly turn any of his animals loose, follow them to show them who to stay away from, places they are to stay from.
I just realized, when the Lions put their arms/weight on his shoulders he's like carrying 200 or so kilos. Just made me realize that if I were in his place I'd just get crush and be suffocated underneath them
Esther Mei Lions are Social Creatures just like humans, canine, domestic felines, bovine, equine, goat, pig, deer, bison, or what have you. Just have to learn the hierarchy they are accustom to and work within it. You will get lifelong BFFS

He can do the things he does because he is fully aware they are not pets they are wild animals. He also never allows anyone else in the enclosures bc he knows anyone besides him will most likely be killed.

He calls it his innocence. When he first met the lions and their accquaintance began he believes the lions knew he had no ulterior motive, was just curious at the beginning. ( I agree with you , now there is true affection on both sides.) He was supposed to train them but all he did was make friends and if they did anything it was because they wanted to..
Man I respect the shit out of Kevin Richardson. He loves the hell out of all his animals. And the great thing is, they love him back just as much. A lot of people who don't know much about Kevin will give him shit for taking the risk that he does when he gets in the pens with these animals. They are certain he will be just another Steve Irwin "Crocodile Hunter" tragedy story. But the huge difference is that Steve had been messing with wild animals. Kevin has raised all these animals since they were cubs. He does take a small measure of risk. There's always a small chance that he could be caught in between two squabbling animals. But this is unlikely. Kevin has a very good head and knows when these animals are in bad moods or when they are fighting with another. So he stays clear of them usually. Great video. Kevin must have finally gotten some pretty good funding. It cost a whole lot of money to do any kind of dental work on just one person or animal. To do work on 20 animals had to have cost a small fortune. Im thinking that the vets have donated much of this work free of charge I bet.

What a man. I m amazed to see the bonding between those wild animals and Mr. Kevin. Those wild animals can eat this man in seconds but they love him and adore him. This shows that love and care win everything in this world.

It's NOT free killing because 95% of lions being killed are being killed in cages it's called canned hunting Google it, it's a disgusting business and I as a TRUE hunter am appalled at these idiots who pay to kill lions in closed environments WITHOUT a fair fight! Despicable for ANYONE to think so ignorantly!
