Gahh wouldnt that be nice!!!! Lol. I'm more into the archeology and for years I just miss identified a majority of the stone tools material as quartz when 98 percent of it is yellow, clear or milk sapphire there so much of it in this area that even the creek sand is pulverized aluminum oxide "sapphire sand" .I'm still baffled by the ancient people that were using the corundum and shaping tools and jewelry with it...but I find it in all sizes shapes and colors in an area about 17 miles north west of Philadelphia between the shale and schist layers and soapstone...the area has a crazy geological history and parts of the earths mantel were pushed upwards and exposed to the surface...we find all kinds of metals too...like platinum, silver, gold, copper and telluride's ...nickel tons of lead and mercury....but most of my stones are to large to send out so I'm just trying to find a local honest and knowledgeable expert in appraising rough stones. I'm good on identification of material but not being able to accurately appraise for cut stone value has slowed the selling process...thanks for watching !!!!! And if I ever make millions from some rocks lol!!! I'm going to remember your comment!!! I'm pinning it!! And it will be $$ for you that's a promise!!!
@@happylostsouls3327 you might have already done this, but there are sites that tell you how much per gram, kilo ect for a lot of the stones you have! You could buy a scale and have a somewhat idea so you are not scammed. There are plenty of jewelry makers that would love some of these stones. I have a much smaller version of the big "yard corundum" you showed in the beginning. My issue is the same i am looking for someone honest enough to identify mine and appraise them. Anyway best of luck it is exiting to find these stones and looking at them is twice as exiting. I have looked at the same stones over and over and constantly find new things about them!
This video is so informative! I have been manic with my rocks since viewing this & I’ve shared it with our Explorer group. I literally sleep with my stones, stoned!
Sorry this was real quick video and there were super loud kids playing outside and the video is just gonna cut off...😢 But I still posted so my bad in advance for the awful quality lol
I've got a lot of very similar pieces coming from my familys property in Hiddenite NC that's been on our family for over 100yrs I have been doing some research and prospecting for the past few years but still haven't even scratched the surface yet. I need a trustworthy person for Id and estimates on value too.
