You would be the first to tell others to say ‘No’ so take a leaf out of your book and learn it is ok! On the plus side it’s great to see you and listen to your plans - all wonderful as usual x
I definitely laughed out loud when you said about the missing apostrophe- although I can take a missing one more than one where it shouldn’t be. Someone got Liam a baby grow that said “free hug’s” and it killed me! 😂😂😂
I am so glad you are back. Missed you Tamlyn but you do need to take care of yourself. Life gets busy at times and we need to step back for awhile and regroup. I would love to see your coat make. I wanted to make one for my twin granddaughters but afraid to try it. Thank you for a refreshing video I.
Lovely to see you back, and I am happy to hear that you are trying to look after yourself. I think the Atelier Jupe Alex coat would suit you very well. It has that timeless, yet contemporary look that I think would be great in the winter wardrobe. I bought the pattern when it was new, but I haven't had time to start it yet. (You are not the only one who is bothered by the lack of the apostrophe, by the way. I know I shouldn't say anything, seeing as English is not my first language, but I couldn't help myself. Yay for the language nerds! :D)
Busy, busy girl. I love your enthusiasm! So infectious! Listen to your followers (including Mummy) and look after yourself. Say yes to what matters, no to the rest. 💕💕💕
It's really important to give yourself grace because if you don't you will get burnt out. It is ok to say no and it's also important to not feel guilty because you say no! You are clearly empathetic but honestly, the organisers of all these challenges will understand because they too will be bound to say no to things also. I wanted to enter the local Agricultural shows because in my new area there are loads at this time of the year. But due to time and family commitments I only managed just one out of four! There is always next time with these sorts of things. Some of us (I mean me) just aren't that organised at the moment but it's no big deal because there is always next year and the planning process needs to start early. If we have a little schedule of the challenges throughout the year, we can make a list and plan which ones to join in on. You are clearly an organised person given the spreadsheets on projects. It's ok though because life is about living not tying yourself up in knots and getting tangled up in too much. Not good for the body, mind or soul xx
What a lovely catch up, fabulous to see your face again ❤ Never be afraid to say no, it’s an essential tool for your mental health and well being and it shows what a strong positive and courageous person you are xx
Every once in awhile I think ‘I should be sharing my makes on Instagram’. So i change my account to public and post things. Then I realize that I’m falling into the FOMO trap and remember I can just enjoy everyone else’s makes without pressuring myself to produce. I think I’m happier that way. And yet I still love your content - which of course I recognize adds pressure on you. I guess my message is ‘do what you can/want and enjoy your sewing’. 💕🇨🇦
Glad to see you back, you were missed, yes it is hard to say no and stick by it, but there are only 24hrs in the day look after yourself Taylor needs a healthy mum to keep Up with him. Fabric is lovely as usual regards Diana from NZ ❤🎉
Hi Tamlyn, the Frances top by Fibre Mood would look great in that Tana Lawn, its only 3 pieces so you should be able to get your size out of 90cm especially if you use other bias binding. Also that coating material would look great as a longer length Ilford jacket. It was lovely seeing you and dont ever worry that you are not on for a while as we are here for you when ever you can share your great content with us 😊 also would like to make a future content suggestion, if you are both up for it, a sewing with my mum episode would be fun 😊 xx
I loved your top and just couldn’t resist ordering some of the fabric. It arrived today and is gorgeous and with a lovely note from you too! So, very special, and many thanks for wrapping it so well. You take care of yourself, and always remember, saying ‘no’ is fine! Hugs, Sylvia
New routines take some adjusting. That is an incredible price on printing. I bought the Be Mine top that was just released and I am triple checking what I need printed for the next little while because of shipping $$.
I completely agree, you should look after yourself and take time to just relax. I know how it is to have so many projects you want to do and getting overwhelmed. I have to pace myself all the time.
So so sooo lovely to see you Tamlyn and totally understand how tricky it is to fit everything in. So lovely to see all your fabrics and hear your ideas. Nothing wrong with saying No, well done lovely ❤
Make the Liberty fabric up soon! I think that I have it too. Heavenly to wear. Love all the colorful fabrics. Judi is so thoughtful. I remember her shopping for gifts for you all and being so excited when she found something to purchase..
Hi Tamlyn I know exactly how you feel about being overwhelmed… me too it’s hard finding a new routine but health and family come first 💕 Your Wimborne coat is going to be amazing and your Rhea dress too ☺️
Lovely to see you back! I only enter challenges if I happen to be making something which fits the challenge anyway. The Wimborne was my first ever coat I made from Tauko magazine. Ochre coating with bright pink lining. Love it, although I wear my Haori jacket more often. And the Chanterelles are fab - made two already (view B) already and have at least another two planned. Love the details on them. Enough wittering from me - hope Taylor’s new routine and you settle down soon.
Lovely to see you back, life is so busy especially when you have little ones sometimes we have to be strong and say No! Glasgow looked amazing you all looked beautiful 😍 Enjoy your weekend away with your girlies xxxxx
I’m trying to say no too! I’ve definitely stepped back with challenges over the year however Pattern tests are hard to say no to but I’m getting better! You’ll look magnificent in the Rhea dress. Beautiful fabrics and that weekend in Glasgow was a belter, one of the best weekends I’ve had in a long time - definitely the company! 😘😉
Nice to see you back! I’ve just bought the Delphine jacket pattern to make a coat. I also like the Alex coat by Atelier Jupe. I always struggle with ‘fashionable’ coats (eg not a puffer coat or rain coat) to look a bit smarter but I have some wool blend fabric I got at a craft show earlier this year that I’m excited to make my first coat with! And I recently made the Chanterelle pants and love them so can’t wait to see yours ☺️
Great to see you and catch up! Frocktials looked amazing - will there be a NSS’s vlog on your frocks? - unless Ive missed it but I don’t think so. You all looked beautiful - was your fabric the Cloth Edit Box?
Not silly at all! To be honest, it’s people I follow already. So when they share in their stories that they’re having a destash, I head over and follow their destash page. Sorry, that probably doesn’t help! X
Dor my leggings when I'm getting ready on a dark winter morning it means i don't have to compare front and back rise to work out where the back is. I often see a small piece of ribbon at the back but the labels just make me smile.
I sometimes put them in the sideseam or on the cuff of a short sleeve of a t-shirt. I've seen people put it on a kangaroo pocket, so now I want to sew something with a kangaroo pocket 😂
You would be the first to tell others to say ‘No’ so take a leaf out of your book and learn it is ok!
On the plus side it’s great to see you and listen to your plans - all wonderful as usual x
Great to see you back, you have some lovely fabrics and plans. Totally feel your pain on over committing, it’s a real challenge xx
I definitely laughed out loud when you said about the missing apostrophe- although I can take a missing one more than one where it shouldn’t be. Someone got Liam a baby grow that said “free hug’s” and it killed me! 😂😂😂
Good to see you, family and yourself first, then you think about the rest. the coat will be great to see.
Yes to loving correct grammar! That bit made me so happy - but also I now really want the banana labels as they are too cute for words
No worries at all re: the Sew Safari! There is so much going on and only so many hours in a day 😊 xx

Great to see you back. Love your videos. You are so busy I don’t know how you fit everything in! I can’t keep up with all the challenges either x

That is so funny, I too noticed on Ruan’s vlog that the apostrophe was missing, as you say, must be the teacher in us lo😂
Nothing is wrong with saying NO. Taking care of yourself is important ❤❤❤
Good for you. No is the most difficult word to say. We all need to pace ourselves and not try to do too much.
Good for you prioritising yourself.

A little shirt would be cool for Taylor in that stretch woven octopus print 😊

Thanks for the suggestion. Mum is definitely up for it if I can tie Tamlyn down for long enough. 😊
I would love to see your coat making progression
So lovely to see you back - you’ve been missed. Hope Taylor has settled into Nursery xx
It’s just so lovely to see you back ❤ and my pleasure xxx

Love fabric of teal!!! Terry is a cool fabric that I’ve never sewn with.
I completely agree, you should look after yourself and take time to just relax. I know how it is to have so many projects you want to do and getting overwhelmed. I have to pace myself all the time.

Gorgeous fabrics - you know what suits you! You are right to put yourself first- look after yourself and enjoy your sewing with no pressure 😊

Your Wimborne coat is going to be amazing and your Rhea dress too ☺️
Love that jackson tee you are wearing Tamlyn. Good luck with all your projects, in particular your coat. Nice to have a catch up video. 😊
Oslo is a great first coat.
Taylor’s shirt is soooooo cute!!!🎉

Yes, I’d definitely like to see a video on the coat.
Loved this vlog gorgeous girl!, for the stretch woven it's great for board shorts for the beach xx
Happy to see you back! I’m sure Taylor is really enjoying himself ❤❤❤
I love your channel so much, so glad to see you back! ❤
Good to see you back - and glad to hear you're starting to find a new routine.
Great to see you back !! But remember family comes first and take car of yourself !!
Such fun Fabrics! Make purple print dress first!!!❤
Lovely to see you back, life is so busy especially when you have little ones sometimes we have to be strong and say No! Glasgow looked amazing you all looked beautiful 😍
Enjoy your weekend away with your girlies xxxxx
I’ve bought a coat too we will be very glamorous x
I’m just like you, anything I read I always seem to find the mistakes! The fabrics look great.
Awwww so lovely to see your face 😍. Your fabrics are gorge. Can’t wait to see that coat 🧥
So nice to see you again!
💕
I love your fabric choices! Your favorite colors are similar to mine!
Nice to see you back! I’ve just bought the Delphine jacket pattern to make a coat. I also like the Alex coat by Atelier Jupe. I’m the same with apostrophes - I couldn’t possibly use that label 😂. However, I’d love to have the F*** Fast Fashion ones!
Ohhh if you don’t like coats would you consider a vest? Tessuti released the Torino vest recently I think it would be perfect?
Great to see you and catch up! Frocktials looked amazing - will there be a NSS’s vlog on your frocks? - unless Ive missed it but I don’t think so. You all looked beautiful - was your fabric the Cloth Edit Box?
I rarely wear a coat, i feel swamped in them as I'm only 5'2" so tend to go for a jacket.
🇨🇦😃
...and how about dungarees for Taylor, or would they be too tricky for going to the loo?
I had missing apostrophes or the
" grocer's apostrophe."
You could stitch on the apostrophe
🍓🧶💙🌈
Sorry if this is a silly question but how do you find the de stash pages on IG easily?
Not silly at all! To be honest, it’s people I follow already. So when they share in their stories that they’re having a destash, I head over and follow their destash page. Sorry, that probably doesn’t help! X
@@SewnontheTyne aww that’s what I’ve been doing, just need to follow more people then. Time to scroll
xXX👍👍👍
Lovely makes but I don’t understand the fad regarding labels. I’m with your child, they are scratchy! I cut them out of ready made immediately!
I know what you mean but I love putting in a label as a cute finishing touch. It also helps me put my skirts and trousers on the right way! 😂
