I've been pretty hard on Brock, I didn't think much of what I'd seen of him thus far but respect to Brock Glenn, that guy played like it mattered to him, unlike most of the team up to this point 👏🏾
Thanks for sharing at the end. I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. As fans, it is easy to get wrapped up in talking ball and thinking about this and that and the other thing, and placing a lot of importance on it, but we all have to remember that ball is ball, and life is life. When FSU loses, you don't get choked up like that for a reason; it is just a game. We mourn the ones we lose and to me the best way to remember and honor them is to be the best person you can be and persevere through the tough times. Love the people in your life and be nice to the strangers you cross paths with.....treat life like the gift that it is, and share the joy of it all when and where you can.
Sorry for your loss Richie (sp?). Prayers for your friend’s family and wisdom for you in walking alongside them.

Glenn can run, makes quicker decisions and throws a nice ball. He's much more accurate than DJU.
And honestly if the receivers caught the open passes I think we coulda won or been very close to winning. Brock has grown a crap ton since the ACC Championship. I think Brock has some growth to do but the players are super happy with him as QB and it sounds like Brock is a loud leader. Like he takes charge and hypes people up. DJ didn’t. And FSU desperately needs a leader right now

Glenn should have been playing from the start and those dropping passes. One of the worst display of hands I ve ever seen. Glenn looked like a real QB.

Fans need to chill, the Clemson game was the best performance on the field this year.
Fact 1: Clemson is a top 20 team with a very good defense. FSU was able to move the ball. Against a top team.
Fact 2: 17 points scored in the 1st quarter, 7 of that was on a miscommunication interception TE was not paying attention to the pass and did not run to the open space where the ball was thrown. Watch the tape his helmet was at the stands on that play trying to find the ball and not toward the QB or the ball. Thomas came back and led the team in yards and catches as a true freshman. We have to take the good with the bad with a true freshman. The rest of the game the defense gave up 12 points the rest of the game and no TDs, actually giving FSU a chance for a comeback win chance.
Fact 3: Brock did not stand there, he moved the pocket and made it difficult for the defense to find him. Other QB took how many sacks against GT, BC, SMU, Memphis? Clemson has a solid defensive line imagine how many sacks Clemson would have had if the other QB would have faced his former team that he left from?
Fact 4:
Brock sees the whole field. Brock threw to his left and his right. He made it through progressions and I don't remember any stair down play which were a common occurrence for the other QB. Question I wonder if Brock threw more balls to the left against Clemson then the other QB did the entire season? It would be a fun Stat if someone would like to look it up.
Not sure how a 2nd year QB can scan the field better than a 5th year senior???
Yes, there were mistakes but this leads us to fact 5 which is what is the most frustrating to the fan base: We lost Travis, Benson, Coleman, Bell, Wilson, Verse,
Fiske, Lovett, Deloach, Jones, Bethune and Dent. My apologies if anyone was left out. My point is all of us fans hoped for the next man up from the returners and plug in some guys from the portal reload and run back again this year. Reality has set in that this was going to be a rebuild year after losing all of the above talent. Bad QB play and loss of onfield leadership has made this rebuild into a complete rebuild instead of a minor tweak here and there. I want this program to look like the 90s. The players that are the hungriest are the young guns. If we play the youngsters the rest of the season and they play well, we might be able to get some high schoolers
who shyed away from our program because of the number of portal players taken in the past.
Hope everyone calms down and enjoys watching our future learn and grow moving forward this year. It's not what any of us wanted, but let's watch the team develop and blossom.

Fact 5: if our clueless group of 5 coach started Brock week 0 instead of bum dju we’d have atleast 3 wins right now
@morganwartman8507 Certainly understand what you are saying. I, too, wish Brock would have appeared earlier. I have plenty of posts in the past that support the idea of Brock over the other QB. I do not agree with anyone who wants to replace Novell. The program was in the dumpster when he came. We had an extremely successful 22 and 23 seasons, all the credit goes to Novell.
This year is certainly noted for sure, but Brock and Luke and Davis and many of the youngsters movement have reason to cheer for a brighter future with this core plus the young WRs. Serious evaluations on coaches and players this off-season. Novell has earned a bad 24. 25 needs to be measurably better and 26 back to top form. If you can't see all of the players that left and the new team had to figure out what to do in their absence, then I can't help you see it. Be mad we were sold a bad bill of goods and I will understand. But not allowing Novell the chance to right the ship, I'm not going down that path, especially with how the team performed against Clemson. More work needs done. I'm not writing off a team that is finally showing life. I want them to turn it around for four reasons.
1) Learning opportunities and valuable in-game experience that raises the floor for next year in hopes that 25 is what we were hoping for this year and not another rebuild year.
2) Recruiting
3) Novell is a special coach. Alabama saw his capabilities, but even though he would have had more money and had better Recruiting he stayed here to see things out.
4) JT the fan base myself included gave up on that kid. JT as you know turned out to be special now. There are differences in JT and our 5th year project, but I think Novell let his heart not pull the project 5th year senior, but we can't cry over the past. I personally wanted to see Brock at the half of BC game. I'm going to be happy with where we are now and let's see where this road leads instead of complaining. Oh and there might be some bumps FSU will go through the rest of the way as the team learns and grows, but at least it looks like FSU has a shot at beating Miami and Florida.
Let's finish the year strong.

I lost my best friend a few years ago due to a heart attack. I completely understand how you feel and send my deepest condolences to you and his family. Try and take care of yourself, one day at a time.
I'm so sick of people blaming NIL for the problems on this team. NIL is on ALA, Ohio St, GA, , TX they have buy-in. It's these players this season. We were 13-0, with players who were paid NIL money, and they had buy-in. It's not just the system. The system allows piss poor players to take advantage at times, that's it. It's not the norm, if it were the case, every team would be having the same problem all the time. It's life , so it will happen. Coaches need to be better at doing their job to stem the problem. We bent too much for the wrong players.

What now you ask. Start next year’s offensive line and build for the future. Season done put the women and children to bed. Begin the youth movement. This season needs to be laid to rest in peace.

Clearly there are a ton of issues with the program starting at the top. The administration needs to bite the bullet and buy out norvells contract and start over. Let’s find a few big donors and get them to throw some money at it and start over. I just don’t see how we can stick with this current coaching staff for next season and expect to get anything better (high school recruiting, better portal picks, better development, ect). Whatever is happening or causing the issues with this program will never be made public but clearly we need to clean house and if we don’t buckle up and be ready for similar results next year.
All: Brock Glenn is not what FSU needs for the future. He is not dynamic enough to have an explosive offense. We only scored 13 points with 250 total yards. This won’t cut it is we want to be a perennial contender for championships. We need to go after the kid at Vandy if we really want to upgrade our offense.
I just don't understand why they keep subbing Lawrence at RB and why they just don't Lawrence scheme the passing around Jakai douglas

Nice coverage however I disagree with comment about Glenn trusting Norvell. How could he watch this season and trust any of these coaches. I expect he plays out the season and then transfers.

DJU evidently consistently beat out 63-3 Brock Glenn in all practices this fall. G5 Norvell had to go with the best of the worst at quarterback. Not understanding why you guys constantly praise Brock Glenn. He's nothing special at all at quarterback. G5 FSU receivers dropped his passes as same as they did DJU passes. G5 FSU scored their 13 points a game just as they had been doing. Why does DJU get consistent condemnation while Brock Glenn gets your constant praise when the losing results are just the same? Lol. Is it politics or racial?
