Stoick and Thornado is also a wonderful pair. They both seem to understand the burden of leadership, to protect the weak, to assist those who need, to protect their home against any threat. That's why he quickly made a connection with him as they fought the hogs together. Stoick knows his bond with Thornado is too strong, but he has to let him go to handle the baby dragons. Their eyes reflected no sadness, but empathy.
