Your podcast has already become one of my favourites. You make me laugh and I enjoy seeing what you're knitting and your chat. I found soaking plant based fibres in soy milk overnight first before dyeing avocado helps the dye take better. Xx
Thanks for your podcast! I can just feel the things you said. I'm pregnant too (spring baby) and i just couldnt wear any bra-like thing, so everything was uncomfy or hurts! by now i had to wear them, because the things getting wet during the day 😅
fellow texas knitter here! i was watching this while finishing a gauge swatch. i switched tabs to check to see if i had made gauge for the drinks on the patio crop, and when i came back to this video just a few seconds later, you were talking about your drinks on the patio crop? seems like a wild coincidence and also encouraged me to cast on immediately.
For crochet tops (or anything that needs a thin strap) instead of doing just doing chains, I turn and slip stitch into each of the chains. Makes for a much sturdier strap! I loooove all of naked knits patterns! Even with cashmere yarn, it doesn't end up too expensive as a bra doesn't need that much yarn. I just finished their wrap bra in knitting for olive silk and need more asap 💕
Many congratulations, l pray you healthy pregnancy and a beautiful bundle of baby. Thank you for sharing your knits. I think my daughter would like some of these, she's 15 , big hugs xx
Thank you so much!! :) oooh yes she probably would!! I just gifted a few of these that were too small for me now to my cousin. She’s 15 too and snatched them right up!
When you make socks ,cast both on at the same time then knit them an inch on one then an inch on the other .It works for me .I have a few “single “ socks lying around
Yesss that’s a good suggestion!! Would definitely be a muchhhh easier way of ensuring I make an actual pair 😂 hahaaa oh goodness, I do too. They’re just waiting on their other half 🥲
Ps, when I was pregnant I was knitting a Tegna by Caitlin Hunter, and was bummed it might not fit. But... I knit the top of the boddice to the regular pattern instructions, and started the peplum lace motif around my sternum, and it made the cutest peplum crop top with room over my tummy. I totally feel your pain but can confirm crops do work! I also wore my Soldotna Crop a lot over dresses, and have seen lots of pretty cotton ones on Ravelry 👌
No WAY, we might’ve crossed paths and never even knew it! So cool, pleaseeeee enjoy Bellingham for me - my husband and I are missing it so much right now! Yes I love all the folks at Apple Yarns 🥲 (also obsessing over Northwest Yarn’s expansion and Spincycle’s storefront?? Literally picked the worst time to move away, hahaaaa) Oooh that’s helpful!! I’m sure yours looks great, I love browsing through Tenga projects on Ravelry :)
@@carsleehandmade we just moved here in December so it is possible. We absolutely love it here and you are right, the summers make all the rain so worth it! I am in the same situation settling in a new place looking to make knitting friends, and being a new mom can make it more challenging but still so beautiful! You encouraged me to film my first podcast, I plan to put it up next week. You have a virtual knitting friend in me :), sending lots of well wishes!
@@erinbridgett8106 ah no way, we moved back in December - so wild!! Well congrats on moving to one of the best places on the planet (in my opinion lol) 🥲 yes making friends in a new city is so hard! For anyone beginning knitting with cotton/linen/bamboo, make sure you block your Guage swatch! Super important for making garments with those fibres

You’re adorable! And how about elastic sewn in along the “underboob”?
Great job. Love your knits.0
Thank you so much Sandra!! :)
Have you knit with Sandnes Garn line or Tynn line? It’s my current go to for summer fabrics
I haven’t, I might have to try it!!
Maybe you could thread some thin elastic for the underbust of your bralette?
OOOH perhaps!! I just might try that - not sure if I have like tooooo too much excess in the underbust though… we shall see! Thanks :)
So cool, I live in Bellingham! (@bellinghandmade) apple yarns is the best, the staff is so sweet there
