In this video we do the annual maintenance of a Mares diving regulator, the MR42, step by step. The diving regulators are the main tool of the equipment, they are what allows you to breathe underwater the air from the bottle, and despite being a hard and well-made tool, it needs maintenance, simply the fact that the air passes through it, says a layer of lime that in the long run will cause it to malfunction, this without counting the salt that can be stuck due to a deficient sweetness of the same.
Many divers complain about the failures of their regulators, leaks mostly, and think that their regulator is not good, and this is not true, there are no bad regulators, there are poorly maintained regulators. Every year or every 50 dives, we should be able to open our regulator and clean it and change the gaskets.
In this video we teach how to maintain a regulator, but we do not advise a user to do it himself, at least if not under the supervision of a certified professional. What we intend is for the user to get to know his material in more depth, and to know what his regulator needs and to ask a professional to do the maintenance.
Estos videos de reguladores son una maravilla. Se aprende mucho 👍
