A well presented model even if of an older production. Also a great description of the kit, pro's and con's highlighted and any production issues that the builder will envisage if purchasing this great model. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experience with all of us out here. Cheers, Jordo
For all the shortcomings you claim for the model it is a Very handsome model. The detailing and paint really set this model of the Missouri apart from others.
If you ever fancy building this ship again, i would recommend the Very Fire, 1/350 USS Missouri. the Very Fire one has great detail, including full turret detail including the barbettes. Missouri is similar in length to Titanic. I have both ships and side by side the Missouri and Titanic are practically the same length.
No, it is almost entirely airbrushed. You can see my process for painting disruptive camouflage in the RN Roma build series: ruclips.net/p/PLsONiwAggxt74w4_B8x4gMji6cwT71cdh
That paint scheme looks impressive for an old ship, good build

A really interesting commentary - I am soon to build the Academy 1/700 scale version, and enjoyed seeing your excellently applied colour sceme.
Thanks, and have fun with your build.
