This is more than it seems. This looks easy to do. But mentaly and physicaly its extreamly challenging. But the thought of beeing part of a top special forces is amazing. I want this and I train every day. For my strength. Mental strength is something I have as a skill that I made in my childhood. SAS, if you read this, know that I will one day come.
The last man standing, fucking brave. He passed the course facing his fears. He overcame adversity and did an outstanding job. That's a fuckin bravery, passed the course with flying colors. The same man that was fear of water and heights...
I knew a pilot who was from Britain and he said his best friend went through the course when they were younger and he busted up his body trying to complete it. It’s an exceptionally hard course just like the US Special Ops courses in all the US branches.
It's much harder than most USAF SOF selection. Keep in mind that SAS are tier one by US standards and regularly operate with DEVGRU and CAG. If such is the case, their selection has to be similar if not harder when compared to that because while CAG and DEVGRU select from already established SOFs, these guys may come from the regular infantry units. It's as much mentally demanding as it is physical.
Reading all the comments from either Walter Mitty guys or the Well 'ard brigade is actually quite amusing. You do realise the Chief Instructor and the Directing Staff are all ex SAS/SBS and that this programme is a watered down version of what actually happens. This is the palatable version which is televised for entertainment. These are civilians and they won't be joining the Special forces once they pass this course. Seriously I can't believe that some guys actually think that because someone gets to the end of a reality TV programme they can now be an SF operative.
This got me scared bruh respect to everyone even trying to join the SAS (and any other military branch)... unimaginable strain which I would never be able to go through
@Seamus donaghy Donaghy your logic is incredibly illogical. And ignorant. There are a few women that have passed the U.S Army's Ranger school. The women that pass such things are even more rare than the men that pass. To say something must not be "as difficult as they they make it out to be" because a female can pass it, is undermining all the effort, dedication and commitment to pain and suffering that those women have put in. Make no mistake, I'm not a feminist. But, there are some incredibly physically strong as well as mentally strong women out there. Using your logic, anything that a woman passes must mean that 95% of men must be able to pass it also. Which isn't the case.
@Seamus donaghy Donaghy however, I'm not convinced that we'll find a female any time soon that will pass SAS selection (the real one) Hopefully we do though. That'd be pretty mad
TBH it is far worse than this. For example after doing the longest and hardest course or exercise of your life they don't shout. They just say: "That wasn't good enough. Do it again." It is enough to break the most experienced of applicants, people who are already Royal Marines.
yes weird but you need to find the one who can't do it. When I was training to absail from helicopters (regular army not SF) one recruit refused to leave the chopper so bye bye.

bunch of twats! XD
7:12 Oh, Damn. They brought in the US Marine DIs lol
This is only a tiny bit of what the SAS actually have to go through and even a watered down version of that
This is more than it seems.
Brought tears to my eyes, Bravo.
Wow the video made me cry i'm from the U.S and my respect to the Secret Air Service SAS.
This got me scared bruh respect to everyone even trying to join the SAS (and any other military branch)... unimaginable strain which I would never be able to go through
You have a stronger mind than you realise.
@Seamus donaghy Donaghy so if a woman completes the real SAS selection or completes Royal Marines Commando selection, does that mean it's easy?
I thought it was James Mccavoy in the thumbnail
TBH it is far worse than this. For example after doing the longest and hardest course or exercise of your life they don't shout. They just say: "That wasn't good enough. Do it again." It is enough to break the most experienced of applicants, people who are already Royal Marines.
"Special Air Service "Best comando in the world .
"Who Dares Wins "
Lmao if I was in that water and heard "I just wanted to see your ugly heads" I would burst out laughing send me off idc that was too funny
Middleton was the best thing in this show.....well done channel 4
3:03 my favorite part
I remember my training, nothing compared to this
Hahaha thousand mybe 10 get pass
I smell bullshit.
@@120mmsmoothbore2 try getting out of the feotal position.
Seriously that falling backwards of the plank thing looked like one of the easier takes these guys have to perform
yes weird but you need to find the one who can't do it. When I was training to absail from helicopters (regular army not SF) one recruit refused to leave the chopper so bye bye.
@@jesoby Hard-core shit. I see literally every aspect of training also has some form of team building aspect.
Thought that as well maybe is a mental thing for people if they can't see where they falling
"put your hands over your chest and simply fall backwards" was badass
Massive respect to the guy at 9:02 he did so well
The most intense 10 minutes I'll watch today.... I've had more intense shits.
