Hey ADVinJapan, sending love for your content from India. I own the same bike, well the 2023 version and the brilliant Prospec guys actually work out of the same city that I live in. I had the benefit of visiting them and their recommendation is to route the clutch cable from the right of the ignition key to further reduce any kinks/bends and therefore binding in the cable. Also, they recommended going for the Prospec Pro short cable version of the EasyClutch which basically plugs onto the OEM cable for easier replacements for when your clutch cable lets go.The extra length also allows my bar risers.
Hey thanks a lot! This is great advice. I contacted them and they’ve also been super kind enough to send me a shorter cable. I may do another video showing how to use it with your existing cable as well. Great advice, brother, thanks!
I put the "one finger" on, but I could not find neutral because the clutch was partially engaged. I've adjusted it a bunch but I'm not sure it's going to work for me...
Man, im sorry to hear that. The best practice is to start back backing out the adjust at the lever to where is barely biting. After that go down to the clutch arm and make adjustments there. Finally, ensure that your lever ajudter knobs are somewhere around the 3-4 mark. Try that and see if it works. You may also need a different clutch cable.
I wasn't aware of this mechanical advantage mechanism. Thanks for all of the work you put into this video. For anyone in the US it comes out to about $68 with shipping and a extra cable. Hopefully no customs hold ups or charges.
Either was I, thanks to this awesome community, I was made aware. And I’m glad to be able to share it all with you. Thank you for the info on shipping, super helpful 👍.
@@advinjapan unfortunately not yet. I think Ali Express had some I thought about trying. I have had good luck with some of their stuff. (Love the Rhinowalk tool bag you recommended)
Be careful with reducing the pull (or increasing the leverage) too much. As you make the lever pull easier, you reduce how much the clutch arm moves. At some point you will either be not engaging the clutch fully, causing it to slip and burn while riding, or not disengaging the clutch fully, causing it to rub and burn while stopped, or both. Make sure that the bike doesn't creep forward when the clutch is pulled in, and that the cable has some free play when released. And try it with your fingers holding the grip when pulling the lever since this will limit how far you can pull the cable. Hope it works well for you.
Thanks for the advice bladerunner, yes, I made sure there was no creep on the bike. It’s looks like everything should be alright m. I’ll keep an eye on it
Does all the mechanical advantage change the throw and how far you have to move the lever to hit the friction zone? Are you going to cut the lever? Whenever I pull the clutch lever in all the way, the end hits my 3rd and 4th fingers.
Hey H M, for the first question, if I understand what you’re asking correctly, in short, no, the install didn’t change where the friction zone was much at all. I changed it with that dial on the stock levers. 5 will put the friction zone closest to your handle bar and 1 the furthest. I believe I have mine at 2 or 3, where as before it was at 4. So my friction zone lays further from the handle bar, meaning I don’t have pull in as much. If you have monster fingers like I do, then maybe somewhere around 2 or 3 would be good, but I still hit my other fingers when pulling in the lever. For your second question, yeah, I may pick up some aftermarket levers to help with that. Do you have any recommendations?
@@advinjapan I've been waiting for ASV shorty levers but still nothing. I like the ASVs because of their fine adjustability instead of just 5 or 6 positions.
Hey Buddy!! How is the Easy Clutch holding up? For my Duke 390; Planning to pair this with the 2 Finger Easy Pull Clutch V4 Lever fron '1FNGR'. Any ideas?
Hi I have a question because I am from Poland and have limited access to some parts tell me where you ordered this Prosper Easy Clutch Pro+ cable for KTM 390 Adventure from ?
@@advinjapan I was on the site from the link . Only there I saw that for the clutch they are 650cc , 750cc , benelki , ducati capacities . Could you please write which device you chose ?
@czysiek79 hey there, the clutch cable is a universal design for all motorcycles 650cc and below, so this will work with the 390 👍. I recommend the pro plus: prospec.co.in/products/easy-clutch-pro-plus.
Hello! Yes is does matter, partially. While the clutch lever is used to shift the bike, it is also used to manage power to the rear wheel. And the easier the clutch lever is to pull, the better clutch control you have. Also the quickshifter, at least on my bike, is also very jerky in the lower gears so I prefer to use the clutch when possible. Thanks!
I was not sure about the prospec system , eventhough it is an Indian company, all the videos before on this were just verbal non convincing that's why i didn't mention it last time .. but this one is more convincing and very well done :) .. So i take back the hydraulic clutch reccomendation and I myself will be buying the prospec plus one finger arm combo :D..
Alright! Glad I could be of service my friend. It was hard to find anything on the easyclutch, but the concept seemed pretty legit so I gave it a go. The company is very nice too, good communication.
Thanks for the comment. As the chart suggests, prospec will give you the better advantage here. Be sure to watch the whole video, there are some things to watch out for if you’re running the stock clutch arm with the easy clutch pro.
To each his own. Personally, I struggle with tendinitis, the lighter the better. Also, a lighter clutch pull, in theory, will give you finer, better control over the drive train.
I do appreciate these videos but the reality is your showing me Im making all the right choices for me. All the cheap mods are worth it on this model bike to just make it that little bit better. Anything more is just not. For me. If Im gonna spend 7K on the bike and another 4K on mods for what a 10% better experience? Then there are other bikes up in that price range that are 200% better experience.

That's is crazy light. Wow.
Any lighter and I’m afraid the torque of the engine would pull the clutch lever in 🤣

Nice one. Quick request. Could you post the action camera and mic setup you use for these POV videos
I sure can. I just updated my setup so it’s probably a good time to do that.
Hey, I just updated the information, but I’ll let you know here:
Filming Equipment:
GoPro Hero11
Purple Panda lavalier mic

Does the prospec easy clutch in anyway hamper the clutch plates in the long run ? Your opinion?
Hey upload, if by hamper you mean wear down, then no. The mechanism simply reduces the load at the lever. Cheers!
