I am 74 and grown up Catholic no longer THANK GOD! But going to a Catholic grade school the Nun who was teaching said, "anyone who is not Catholic is going to hell." I still remember it.
Well, I was southern Baptist and became Catholic, praise God. Everyone has experienced a person in a particular religion that has said or done something stupid and wrong. We should look to Jesus Christ for the way to live and treat people, not humans.
I was told to go to any church i want to. There is only one God. I was born Catholic and got kidnapped by the Baptist bus one fine Sunday morning. Got saved and baptized the same day. From that point on i have known that not only am I going to heaven when I die. I'm getting in😇😇😇😇😇😇
Sadly this happened to my mom and then when my fiancée and I went to the catholic church to get his blessing for ur marriage (because he was catholic & I was lutheran) he took my fiancee into another room said you need to convert her or both of you are going to hell. Needless to say we left and are lutheran. Shame on that church
@Tbear-k1g the darndest thing is. If it weren't for the Vatican. There wouldn't be a Lutheran church. Please don't take this as an attack on Catholic people. Hebrews 12:29, says this “For our God is a consuming fire”. I grew up in Kentucky in Pentecostal Holiness was saved at 15, ordained a minister at 18, but let us not forget denominations are man made and I hope most stick to Jesus bring the central person in their beliefs it’s all about Jesus always and what he done on the cross and in the resurrection. I’m now 64 God has been good to me and my family. I really enjoy your Unashamed podcast and have followed you all since the beginning of Duck Dynasty days! Love all of you in Jesus name keep up the great study of the word of God in your podcast it’s a blessing to do many people out there. I’ll be listening to you all on RUclips on my big tv!!! 🙏🇺🇸✝️🙏✝️🇺🇸✝️🙏🇺🇸
Straighten Zack out on baptism Jase. Faithful immersion is more than a symbol. It’s obedience to a command and God will save us. Matthew 28:19; Col 2:12; 1 Peter 3:21. Acts 2:38; Acts 8:38.
“For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.” 1 Corinthians 1:17 ESV
Simply believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Baptism is an absolute extra to let people know that our lives are now controlled by Jesus Christ our Savior. It's recommended but baptism does not get you to heaven.
Consider this observation from Dr. Jack Cottrell - "There is only ONE BAPTISM, says Ephesians 4:5. Holy Spirit baptism and water baptism both apply to Christians, but they are not two separate events. They are the spiritual and the physical sides of a single baptismal event."
❤ PLEASE READ ❤ Zac misquoted his scripture reference he said Mark 3:11? He meant Matthew 3:11 or Mark 1:8 or Luke 3:16. But, what about Ephesians 4:5, “there is one baptism.” The baptism that John baptized with was under the old covenant and is not the Baptism that we baptize into today, which in my opinion negates Zac’s point completely. The spiritual and the physical were bonded together in Jesus, correct? “On earth as it is in Heaven.” This is what baptism under the new covenant does. It unites us physically and spiritually with the Holy Spirit and the Kingdom of God. I think symbolism is the wrong word to use here, I think allusion is the correct word, meaning to refer to. What is baptism referring to? To Creation, to the passing through the waters, uniting ourselves with THE story of humanity…THE story of the King above all kings and if we haven’t aligned ourselves with this Kingdom in this way, are we a part of the Kingdom of God? Are we united with Christ? My opinion, God will be the judge but as for me personally, I’m aligning myself with Christ in Baptism, just as all these story’s allude to. We become a new Creation after we follow Christ through the chaotic death waters. Meditate and Pray on that y’all. It’s good stuff right there!
More on baptism from Dr. Cottrell "Salvation as such is conditional, i.e., we receive salvation by meeting certain conditions. However, there are different KINDS of conditions. The main condition is faith, which is the sole MEANS (instrument, vehicle) by which the double cure of salvation is received: “By grace you have been saved through faith” (Eph. 2:8). Baptism, on the other hand, is not just another condition for salvation, but another KIND of condition. Specifically, it is the TIME or occasion when God has said he will bestow grace upon the sinner; it is not the means of receiving salvation in the sense that faith is. Both faith and baptism are conditions for salvation, but faith is the means and baptism is the time. Please take care: do not equate condition with means, and do not confuse means and time."
God is welcome in my home. He loves us so much he sent his Son in the flesh to lead us to God, defeated death, and threw open the gates of hell. Without Gods love I would still be an evil man full of malice and anger believing the lies that it was normal.
According to Genesis 25 after Sarah’s death Abraham remarried to Keturah who gave him 6 other children. So Abraham was in working order. To me, in my opinion, when someone was 100 yrs old then they were like today’s being in your 50’s or 60’s. It makes more since that way because in biblical days their bodies were more healthy than ours.
Did Jase seriously ask if he could metal detect at Monticello? That would be a HARD NO!!! Try to get out of being sent to federal prison for digging on federal land
We did too when I was young. We were free holiness, and had all kinds of. I guess you could say laws or rules basically man-made rules about wearing your clothes, keeping your hair above your collar, long sleeves, but we used to ride to church bus going to Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and Bristow, Oklahoma, where they had Meetings, church meetings we always thought we gonna be the only ones going to Heaven
Zach why can't the Spirit and water baptism go together at the same time. That is what makes the most since. I agree with jase when he talked about the Ethiopian eunuch its not just a symbol to people. If it was it would not make since for the eunuch to be baptized. The more i study baptism and our union with Christ, the more i believe baptism is the point we are clothed with Christ. There is only one Christian baptism Ephesians 4. Love the podcast!
I grew up COC. I remember the “baptism art” Always a River scene. Maybe you should add that to your decor! I bet you could find a good one out in rural Texas and Louisiana. The COfC taught me to love God’s word. It’s a good group to have one’s roots in!
The Ethiopian Eunuch got it right. He had a great Gospel teacher in Philip. Interesting how there was no debate over baptism among the converts mentioned in the Bible. It is only after when folks intellectualize the simplicity of the Good News that we get this gobbledygook. Scripture is clear. It is man who muddies the waters--literally.
There is only one baptism (Ephesians 4:5). Water, Spirit, and fire baptism are one, they cannot be separated apart into separate events if there is one baptism. Just as there is one God in three persons. According to the Holy Spirit in Colossians, the spiritual circumcision happens IN baptism. The baptism of spirit and fire occur at the moment of our water baptism.
Yes, we should obey the Lord’s command to be baptized because “If you Love Me, you’ll obey My commands”. But, baptism does not regenerate the heart, nor does it initiate His Holy Spirit entering your heart and tabernacling with you because that happens at the moment of belief. The ordering is very important. The Lord is Sovereign over Salvation and He gets ALL the Glory for that. If this wasn’t so, what would you do with the thief on the cross? ❤️✝️👑📖
You are following the teaching of man, namely theologians like Zwingli and Calvin. We have been conditioned to study Gods Word on the foundation of man. What about the foundation of Christ and the Apostles teachings? They have the authority, not theologians. This comment is biblically unsound.
@@KGLAD-v5q The thief on the cross was under the old covenant that did not include baptism. Jesus came to establish the new covenant as he stated at the meal He shared with the disciples Matthew 26:28 before His death. @ Romans 4:1-22 Justification by Faith Evidenced in Old Testament 4 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, 6 just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: 7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, And whose sins have been covered. 8 “Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account.” 9 Is this blessing then on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? I have watch yall a long time, but I am really getting sick of Zach putting down the Church of Christ! I grew up that too, and I never heard we were the only ones going to heaven. There is NOTHING wrong with that denomination!
In my experience churches within a denomination have different views. It could be that his church believed that and yours did not thus the different views.
Baptism is only a picture of us being buried with Christ and raised to the regeneration of the Holy Spirit living in us ... we are to die to self and live thru the power of the Spirit
Keep in mind when reading the OT especially the Books of Moses on up to the prophets is all about Gods chosen earthly people the Israelites. I’m watching Jase read about circumcision of the flesh but under the new Covenant it’s circumcision of the heart. Circumcision of the flesh was all under the law and we have been under grace since John the Baptist came preaching Jesus in the wilderness the law was a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ yes we love the OT but everything in it was too the Hebrew, Israelites not to the 21st century church! God bless in Christ name, amen. 🙏 ✝️
The Bible is for us all, not just the New Testament. You’re missing a whole world of understanding if you think the Old Testament wasn’t for us. “For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” Revelation 22:18-19
We are judged by the written Word of God and our own actions and whether we line up with what Jesus teaches the Sheep and the Goats are the redeemed and backsliding people in the church and those righteous people claiming to love Jesus but ignore those people they don't like and don't consider fellow Christians because they do not add up to their own traditions.
Zach, sadly you have turned your back on the foundations of the true gospel for a false one. It’s truly heart breaking. Trust and listen to the men on this podcast instead of the empty philosophies of the false teachers you surround yourself with.
Jase; Really? Zach said, "Peter said there's nothing magical about the water." And you argued against his statement. Then you said, "Peter didn't say there is something magical about the water." You and Zach said the very same thing, but where he used a negative adjective with a positive conjunction, you used a positive adjective with a negative conjunction.

I believe the ONE baptism of Eph. 4:5 happens at Rom. 10:8-10. That is spoken of in 1 Cor. 12:13. You believe unto righteousness.
Try Zach Dasher that how I found it. There’s already four episodes up going to be playing catchup lol!!!! Good luck!

Zack is correct in the idea of baptism as a symbol. It is an act of obedience by a “believer” to a command of Christ!
Then why does it say “ for the remission of sins”. You are still in sin till washed away in baptism!
Yes, we should obey the Lord’s command to be baptized because “If you Love Me, you’ll obey My commands”. 4 What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? 2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 4 Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. 5 But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, 6 just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:
7 “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven,
And whose sins have been covered.
8 “Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account.”
9 Is this blessing then on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? For we say, “Faith was credited to Abraham as righteousness.” 10 How then was it credited? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised; 11 and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while uncircumcised, so that he might be the father of all who believe without being circumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them, 12 and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also follow in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham which he had while uncircumcised.
13 For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith. 14 For if those who are of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is nullified; 15 for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation.
16 For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, 17 (as it is written, “A father of many nations have I made you”) in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. 18 In hope against hope he believed, so that he might become a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” 19 Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb; 20 yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform. 22 Therefore it was also credited to him as righteousness.

Non denominational denomination! Thank you Zach
I agree with Zach
Go Zach.
🎉
We can know who gets into heaven because the Bible tells us in plain language.
Even though I'm subscribed with notifications set at all, this channel isn't in my notifications at all.
“For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”
Revelation 22:18-19
I’ve always thought it is ironic that both of Abraham’s son’s names start with “I”: Ishmael and Isaac.
Why are y'all not updating your content on Rumble? I don't like supporting screwtube.
When are Y'all going back to the Lair ?
Why are they in the Duck call room?
Because Phil isn't participating right now so they don't have to drive all the way down to his property. It's just easier.
@lesliesmith7647 oh they film it at his place, I just assumed both were filmed at Duck Commader? He down in his back right, any surgery?
Ok just a question?
Why did we circumcision.?
Maybe I missed it.
But God made males with the extra skin.
Just asking to learn.

There are NOT thousands of denominations...
I was taught only catholic went to heaven from catholic schools
I am no longer catholic
Zach, sadly you have turned your back on the foundations of the true gospel for a false one. It’s truly heart breaking. Trust and listen to the men on this podcast instead of the empty philosophies of the false teachers you surround yourself with.
You either believe what is actually written or you do not believe at all
Only Christians will be in heaven not denomination
The man with no name probably doesn't give a crap about baptism anyhow. Lol.
I'll have to go back and read Bonhoeffer's biography. Nothing I've ever read about him tells about an assassination plot, willing or otherwise.
Jase; Really? Zach said, "Peter said there's nothing magical about the water." And you argued against his statement. Then you said, "Peter didn't say there is something magical about the water."
Look at what you said. He said 'there is nothing magical...', then you said, 'there is not something magical.'
You and Zach said the very same thing, but where he used a negative adjective with a positive conjunction, you used a positive adjective with a negative conjunction.
Jason,we don't care about your treasure hunt on this podcast. That's your prodcast on someplace else. If we want to know anything about it we will pay to watch your treasure show . 😊
Jase not many watch folks walk around and dig little holes especially pay for to watch , most watch to see Si
I've been trying to find Zack's new podcast. @dasherzack is not getting to the podcast; all I see is his political channel. 😏
