Jael, your village videos refresh me, feel rejuvenated. This life makes me wonder why worry too much about life. This is basically what we need in life.
Thank you Jael, I always enjoy watching your videos. Just like you, I love seeing and hearing the sounds of rain. Especially, when I'm sleeping or napping 💤😴💤 I used to enjoy playing in the rain as a child. Even now that I'm a much older lady, I only use umbrella ☔ when the rain is heavy because I enjoy the rain drops on my face. Keep up the great job 👍🏾 Sis 💞
Hi Jael. As always lovely to be here and thanks for the beautiful video. Its really wonderful that you are starting on a healthy eating journey. A diet is a good place to start. I would like to share my experience. I am in my mid fifties and have tried many diets over the years. All I can say is that for me, none were sustainable. The mind is very tricky because whatever I denied it, it craved and craved until I gave in. As I got older I realized the trick was not to deny myself but to eat more consciously by eating less of or finding healthy alternatives to stuff like dairy products, refined sugars, wheat, meat etc. I used to eat very fast or talk or watch tv during meals but I slowed down and focused on my food in gratitude and silence....I also did and still do, periodic cleanses for one or two days in a month...But mainly I listen to my body more than my mind. The body never lies, it has an inbuilt intelligence and it knows exactly what it needs to be healthy if only I am willing to listen. Slowly eating healthy just evolved organically and became a part of my life, but I try not to deny myself. If I want ice cream, I will have some but interestingly, these days I find that my mind does not crave things as it did before. Now I can easily by pass things that I craved previously. It needs a bit of discipline and awareness initially but after a while there is no struggle and even my mind has come to love the feeling of lightness that eating better has brought to the body so it no longer works against me, well not so much as before😂 Anyway just thought I would share my experience. Thank you so much.
Oh and I love that you still play. I still play at my age, it keeps me feeling joyful, vibrant and actually helps me deal with difficult situations with more clarity and ease as I dont take myself or many things too seriously but I can still deal with them as needed. I have always felt that life is for living joyfully, there will be plenty of time later to be grave and dead serious😂
Wow! Thank you so much. I have been listening to people instead of my body 😅. This is really helpful. Happy new year, darling. Cheers to life and good health
@@jaelofthevillage Thank you and most welcome dear. As you diet pay keen attention to your body and note the foods that make you feel energized and light and those that make you feel lethargic or heavy, pretty soon you will see how to bring balance to your meals. All the best🥰
Our weather has been so unpredictable in east Texas, so much so that I've resorted to planting vegetables I've never planted before. I concentrate more on vegetables with more productivity, nutritional benefits, cut and come again, extreme heat and cold tolerant. All are doing very well. Your dessert reminds me of our over utilized (ha, ha) rice krispy treats we make and devour in the US. I think I'll try your recipe. It looks delicious also.
Hi Jael, hello from France. Each of your videos is a real pleasure to see and listen for me. I am 60+ and I like the way you remind me of my childhood in Cameroun. I also admire your journey back to the village and appreciate all the information you share with us. Concerning the sesame, you can use it in a savory way by grinding it once toasted. Same process as peanuts. You will get a butter called tahini that you can accomodate with a salad dressing for example or make hummus with a variety of beans. There's lot of recipes out there on RUclips 😀
My sister I can identify with you, I loved playing in the rain, when I was younger. During the warmer days (Florida U.S.A), I allow our #5 granddaughter, run out just to experience the childhood I had♥️
Country side is very beautiful place to live. I love it very much and please enjoy yourself sis because of the blessings of GOD ALMIGHTY upon your life. 2024 shall be fruitful for all of us AMEN
I remember seeing these snacks in Kenya but I didn't know that I could make them. Here in America they're sold mostly in Asian stores. I'll get some sesame seeds and make them myself now that I have the recipe. Thanks for sharing. I love all your shows
So cute, the child in you is fun to watch. Puddles are fun when you have the rubber boots on. I love the rain especially if the sun comes out after. Love the bird house. You can also make sesame snacks using dates as sweetener instead of sugar. Sesame seeds are yummy. Nice vdo!!
It’s raining where I live in Texas too. It’s an unusually wet fall/winter because it’s dry where I live but we are going through a drought so every drop helps. I have never made the sesame candy but in the islands here in from, we use grated coconut but we have to cook it a little longer. Then there is the one we make with chopped coconut (cut into little pieces. With this one we boil the coconut until it’s tender and then add the sugar and boil until the syrup thickens. We do add vanilla, nutmeg and ginger to lift the taste. These are my favorite sweets but as I can’t control myself, I haven’t made them in years.
I'm in Minnesota and it finally snowed here but while we're used to negative temperatures it's now above 30 degrees for January that's unusual I love sesame seeds candy bars too
A pleasure watching your videos. Would like to try the snack recipe. Oh and I like how you feed the inner childoutside after the rain. Thank you for sharing these precious moments. Stay blessed 🌻
Hello Jael. Happy New year. It's gale storms here, not fun at all as a huge tree has been cleanly uprooted cutting off the entrance to my road, damaged cars but no one was injured. Still, seeing you making the sesame sweets has cheered me up❤❤😊😢.
Happy New Year, Jael. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. I wish you a blessed and successful new year, 2024. May you be able to accomplish all that you set out to do. I look forward to watching more videos from you. 🙏
