Well what does it matter now? The writers royally screwed it up for any fan base. Dean fans will never get their wish because that door is closed. Logan fans know that the revival ruined what little integrity he had and made sure that viewers know he is the parallel to Christopher. Jess fans know that he is the parallel to Luke which means he is Rory's true love but the show provided no scenes between them to hint at their future and furthermore, the final four words put a real damper on any potential future relationship with Jess and Rory. I choose to accept only the scenes that I liked in the revival which were few and far between. I like that Jess once again inspired Rory and got her back on the right track so I'm ignoring the ending and pretending like she worked closely with him on the book and they got back together permanently.
impasse0124 yes but the writers also said that rory isnt lorelai hinting that she doesnt make the same choices as her mother. ie if shes preggos with logans child she might not bolt. she was never disgusted by 'that world' per se. plus if she picks jess she will just mirror her mum. i think its better for her to pick logan if im . honest

Team Jess! I always found the most chemistry for Rory was between her and Jess. He also always knew her better than any other guy. Also he became such a great guy once he matured more.
After the revival i am All Over team jess. he grew up good, hes someone she can trust, and he brings out the best in her. hes not the 'bad boy' he was and all signs point to the fact lorelai actually likes him now.
If it's gonna be the whole full circle thing than she will be with jess. Logan is like Christopher. There's love and he's the baby daddy and jess is like Rory's Luke and dean is the one who got away! #teamjess
Natalie Anderson yes I agree!! Totally team JESS! And I agree with your theory I’ve always thought that myself lol! Can’t believe people actually saying Team Dean ! That episode after he cheated on his WIFE and then accused her of disrespecting him!!!! Like how? He’s a dirty d*^# head.
I was team Dean 20 years ago, still team Dean today. I haven't seen the whole revival but I saw their scene and it's so frustrating. Yes, there were a lot of problems along the way, but you can't deny that they always went back to each other. It was like they were each other's home.
I really think Rory liked dean because he was safe, she knew he would always do stuff for her, he would never cheat on her and he wasn’t precious to her, that’s my take anyway
Team Jess!! She should’ve gone away with him what a mistake! Dean was pretty damn controlling and toxic and Logan wasn’t that bad but her character got even worse when being with him. But also like I think Jess is too good for Rory
agreed, I dont see how anyone could like dean: he's so jealous, controlling and OBSESSED w her, plus he's not actually as nice as he seems, like when he kept trying to get jess to fight him and stuff like that. just little things I picked up on in the show that made him seem completely toxic.
I think y'all are just judging DEAN without actually realising the circumstances. JESS, who most of you take as a good guy came on Rory when she was literally in a relationship. And it was obvious that both had some feelings towards each other. Even worse than that, Rory started lying to Dean about Jess. İt would've been weird if he kept treating Rory the same way he treated when JESS wasn't there. Cause believe me, even the "good guy Jess" would act the same way if conditions were like that.
Elle Jones, calm down. This is what we call life, people make mistakes. It doesn't make it better, but that is what we call being a human. Do you know how many people who have cheated accused their partners to do the same thing? they just project their on mistakes on other people, because they are not happy with themselves. If rory wouldn't have left Dean in the most shittiest way she did, and Jess wouldn't have on purpose destroyed the relationship of those two, Dean would not be that miserable in the end. They broke him.
A lot of people are broken by other people but still manage to live life fairly decently. And Luke hated dean as well. Dean was very grumpy and could be downright miserable sometimes. He was a good first boyfriend, but absolutely nothing more.
And again thats what we call being human, you can't really compare people in the way they react in situations. Luke just hated Dean, cause he was a guy and Luke was acting like a Dad. If Jess wouldn't be his nephew, he would have hated him aswell. As Rory also said in the "new" season, Dean would have been perfect for her they had met a few years later.
the thing that gets me annoyed is that everyone refers to Jess as “the bad boy” and dean as the “good guy” but if u think about it it’s actually the opposite Jess was only like that at the start because no one thought him manors growing up his dad left him and his mam was un reliable he had a hard life and he ended up taking it out on people but then as he got older he got his life together and he helped Rory to do the same whereas dean never fully trusted Rory and trust is one of the most important things you should have in a relationship and he also got married and then him and Rory had an affair and just because dean was nice at the start doesn’t make him the good guy he was controlling a cheater and didn’t trust Rory but Jess had a hard life growing up but still managed to grow up and gat his life together and ended up being the best influence on Rory
It's not just that he lacked manners it's also the fact that he was disrespectful to every person who tried to be nice to him, tried to assault Rory, stole money, acted irresponsibly etc. Like I love Jess as a character and how he grew but he was so far from perfect why can't people see that.
Tristan was way too immature for Rory. I liked Chad Michael Murray so much better as Lucas Scott, where the character he played was actually interesting
@@101Lovepurple we didn’t get to see Tristan’s character develop because his time on the show was cut short. If he had stayed we would’ve gotten to see him on a deeper level. I think ASP had bigger plans for Tristan and Rory, so it’s too bad he left even though I love OTH too
She wouldn’t have a job without Jess lol and she would have never graduated from Yale without Jess’s influence. Also Jess gave her the idea to write a book😂
@@elizaheathen It didn't take convincing, she was a willing participant. Amy Sherman Palladino said in an interview that Rory's first should have always been Dean. He was sweet, honest, kind and protective. She got her head turned because.. into all girls' lives a little Jess must fall (to quote Lorelai, and I agree). I didn't like how clingy they made him in season 2 but in his defense, it was his first love and he didn't know any better. I think by end of season 3, she understood what she had and that she blew it and he unfortunately (because of his youthful inexperience) rebounded into a way to young marriage. I don't condone cheating (but it takes two) and they were both young and a bit dumb in this department. Dean is the kind of guy you marry if you are smart enough to realize it..she did..but it was years later (aka revival). Yup..she finally got it, pick the guy who puts you first. That was certainly never Logan, nor was it Jess, they both had their own agendas of how Rory should live and fit into their plans..Dean wanted what she did. He will always be my pick but timing is so important.

when rory rejected jess in season 4 i literally balled my eyes out i wanted them to be together so bad, they are meant for each, jess just stuffed up and he really really loves her. it makes me cry i wanted them to be the perfect couple and last forever
At the beginning, I loved dean but he turned out controlling. Jess and Rory were great but Jess seriously needed to grow up. He pushed her to do whatever she needed to, they had a lot in common. I think that Rory should’ve broken up with Logan after she figured out that he cheated on her. She needed some self respect. When Rory went to Jess’s launch party thing, he was grown up and ready to be with her she should’ve been free already
Cherie Poon yes I agree!! Totally team JESS! Can’t believe people actually saying Team Dean ! That episode after he cheated on his WIFE and then accused her of disrespecting him!!!! Like how? He’s a dirty d*^# head.
Team Dean, they have more pure and iconic love in series. Like 'I love you , you idiot' line, the corn cereal, that wristband, the car which made by Dean for Rory and that time when Lorelai and Rory were playin who you gonna mary game Rory's guy was Dean. That was the most romantic relationship in GG. The other ones just about disappointment, tear and deception....
The problem is that in time Rory fell out of love with Dean and in love with Jess. He saw it and tried to control it. She didn't want to admit it to Dean (or herself?) and lied to him. I felt sorry for him until he cheated on his wife by sleeping with Rory. I was all for them being friends, but that wasn't fair to his wife or to Rory. I think Rory needs to stand on her own two feet for awhile. She has never done that emotionally or financially.
I am totally team Logan because him and Rory we're just so good for each other Dean while he was a good first boyfriend he wouldn't be a good husband for Rory and Jess well Rory cared about him she couldn't trust him not to leave her again and you can't have a relationship without trust now Logan while he did sleep with his sister's bridal party he did that while he thought they were broken up and he apologized for it he made up for it and Lorelai vouch for him and if he made another mistake like the one with the Bridesmaids there's no way Laurel I would ever give him another letter that's why I think Logan is the best match for her they were so cute together and he pushed her to break out of her shell she was given anything she wanted because everybody saw her as a princess Stars Hollow princess the light of her grandparents life but Logan taught her to take risks and not to always take the easy route so that's why I'm team Logan
Am I the only one that thinks that hole thing of Logan and the bridesmaids was a total parelel to friends. Rory and Rachel : we were on a brake, Logan and Ross: we were broken up. 😅
Yeah I agree and I really loved the way Logan treated Rory when Rory had a crush on the guy subbing for her grandpa as a teacher. He was ok with it and was like "I trust you" and that's hella healthy.
Okay I can see you like Logan, and I can see why you don’t think Jess would be good for Rory. But I have to ask, why are you saying that Dean wouldn’t be a good husband for Rory? To be honest Rory is a bad person, so she probably deserves the worst one of three: Dean.
No, Dean was a jerk because he led Rory to believe he was getting a divorce, cheated on his wife who still wanted to make it work, was horrendous to his wife when he got back from the cheating, and then blamed Rory for his marriage falling apart
Team Logan for life. Anyone who shipped Rory with Tristan would probably agree, which I did. Jess pushed her too much. It was good when it got her out of a rut like getting her to go back to Yale. But he pressured her in other stuff. And let's not even talk about Dean. He's got some serious issues. And I get that the revival screwed up Logan and Rory but I choose to believe it didn't happen and that they got married and had kids and yayyyyyy. They're each other's soulmates.
i’m so mad to have learned that jess was supposed to get his own show about his life after he left stars hollow. if they had given jess his own show, they might’ve been able to give rory a different story arc where she like went out to california and they reconciled earlier than they did in gilmore girls.
But Logan's love was conditioned When she didn't feel ready to do something he wanted it was easier for him to say goodbye than to wait. He knew perfectly well how important her career was to Rory, she obviously wanted to be known first as Rory Gilmore, the best reporter in America. Not like the reporter girl who married a Huntzberger. At the end of the day, he didn't love her like he said, he didn't want to go the extra mile, wait for her with dignity. When RORY returned to his life, he did not give her the place of a person that he loved so much at the time, he turned her into the other, the saddest thing is that Rory agreed to be. And just to finish, the propose maybe happened because he was afraid of losing her, and it was easier for him to retain her in a certain way than to fight for a love that goes through obstacles,or lose an independent rory who thrives in the real world
I really don’t think Logan’s character development in season 7 is what the original writers intended. He changed so drastically in such a short space of time, it felt very forced. A year in the life was more representative of what their relationship would have been like if Amy and Daniel wrote the last season. You know that one guy who just made you feel like we weren’t good enough, Logan was that for Rory.
But he also left her when she needed time. On the other hand Jess worked on himself and became successful! And the look he gave Rory at the window... damn that boy is forever in love with her.
Team Jess all the way! From the very beginning when they met they brought out the best in each other. Always pushing each other to be better. And when she quit school he questioned her. Nobody else did except Lorelei.
You think JESS brought really the best inside her? REALLY? Rory was doing fine before JESS moved to town. He literally messed everything. Rory was dedicated to school and to her boyfriend. I generally blame Rory for falling in love with Jess and playing Dean over but Jess running after a taken girl and manipulating Dean so he would break up with Rory was so damn RUDE. Everything was good before Jess and i bet there wouldn't be a condition that RORY needed a slap to wake up if he never came.
Jess is the BEST character in Gilmore Girls. PERIOD. He was a troubled teen but he was also funny, smart, cultured and reads a lot. He shared Rory’s interests. He didn’t try to change her, he accepted her for who she was. He wasn’t afraid to call her bullshit and did not kiss her ass like everybody else did. He was true to her and actually knew her. As the show progressed, he grew up and eventually became his own man. Jess’ character development was very satisfying to watch.
JESS' adult version was completely the right person and was too good for someone like Rory. But after all, during the main time line the show went on, he was so problematic. And for the reminding; Respecfull does not equal Kiss Ass. Jess didn't respect Rory's friend and family circle. Overall, the way he disrespected Lorelai a couple of times was so shamefull to watch. He really grew into someone who dedicated himself and developed a lot. But basically, young Jess was nothing but a bad-boy wannabe.
Im actually team Dean. A lot of people say that he was controlling Rory but I think no ones perfect. And he was the only one who treated her from the begining as a princess. Perfect 1st boyfriend. I mean he fighted for her with Tristin. 🥵
Why is there a debate going on between Dean, Logan, or Jess being right for Rory. In my defense I mean you can't really even compare the three, seeing as they all brought different things to the table. Like you said they all brought out something different in her, and she made the decisions she made. Why does it have to be influence and not just mindsets? As adorable as she is, she is an adult now, and able to be strong enough not to give in to pure peessure or all of that he's my boyfriend I want to make him happy crap. I don't think any one person is right for Rory. I think at the time they were all right for her, but dont you think she would have married one of them if they were "so right for each other"? She chose to stay single as much as she loved each one of them and they loved her. I'm team Rory too honestly. Hate me if you want but that's how I feel. 😊
*what Rory says about Jess to Lorlai*: One minute he's happy, then he's not. And he doesn't tell me anything ever... I'm so tired of fighting...He just gets mad and disappears and then comes back and *I don't like how I feel and I don't like what I do*...*I don't wanna feel like this*, I don't wanna sit around wondering when we're going to talk, if he's mad, why he's mad. *I hate this*. I really, really...I don't know anything because he won't talk. He just sulks then disappears, and just when you're through with him, he shows up at hockey games with Distiller tickets... was embarrassed because I didn't wanna be that girl...but after the hockey game, I was that girl... *The girl who lets her boyfriend treat her like dirt* and then lies to her mom about it. *What she says to Lane about Jess*: He shows up out of no where with this crazy proposal. It was awful. Jess bailed on me twice....*Jess is great one minute and then the next* - you know, as far as I know, I could have said yes, packed my bag, and by the time I got to the car, he would have changed his mind. What *What Rory tells Dean about Jess*: *Because he doesn't treat me right*, right? And you wouldn't want me to be with someone who doesn't treat me right. Yep, Jess is the one for her... *What Rory says about Dean:* You were the most amazing boyfriend in the world. You made me so happy. You made me laugh, you made my mother like you, you were nice to my friends, you protected me, you even came with me to that stupid debutante ball....I really did love you. Sure, when Dean said he’d call, he always called, but where’s the fun in that? ...Clearly. One calls when he says he will and one doesn’t. It was more than that...I was safe, and he was so nice to me. I think I really blew it there, you know? I didn't appreciate it. You were the greatest boyfriend alive. That you were, um... generous, and protective, and kind and strong. That as much as I wish we'd met when I was older and more mature, I know if I hadn't when I did, I wouldn't be the person I am today. That you taught me what safe feels like. Dean is the one that Rory said "I love you" to several times. But yet, people ignore all of what Rory herself says about him.
i guess ur right about the jess part but he did grow ALOT as a person, and dean cheated on Lindsey told Rory he would break up with her then never did until after she found out, plus hes married again now with kids, personally im team jess but i respect your opinion and find it interesting
LOOOOL You know what, personally I'm team jess but I think dean was so sweet and logan had some good moments too. But I agree Rory's character went downhill.
he literally broke up with her because she didn't say i love you back after dating for three months. he would get extremely aggressive all the time when she prioritized school or wanted to do something he didn't want to do. They did not share the same interests and he was always kind of there.
At first , yes dean was perfect . But then they slept together and he reacted like a dick to the letter , he was a cheater and Rory was manipulated into thinking it was only her fault .
@@Inesantgod I dont think he was perfect at the start at all... he always expected her to put him in front of every single thing in her life including her mum and school, and he also got aggressive and demeaning when Rory cancelled plans. I get that its upsetting to be cancelled on, but making a massive fuss about it and making Rory feel like it was her fault was just toxic.
But is there even a doubt at this point?! Jess all the way!!! He brought her out of her shell, inspired her and they share similar hobbies, they made eachother better and he grew up gorgeous! ;)
Why is everyone referring to Jess as the BAD BOY??? The kid has gone through so much shit starting from the fact that he was abandoned by the only guaranteed shelter one can have, his DAMN mother. He obviously has trust issues. When it comes to manners, first he never had anyone that taught him any, and second as Nick Wilde once said “if the world only gonna see a fox as shifty and untrust worthy, there is no point in trying to be anything else”
@Maria Zyka Yamog actually quite the opposite.. they are perfectly imperfect for each other but not hating on jess or anything because i love jess but i think they just have some sort of platonic level of a relationship. Also Rory does not deserve jess anymore. Just my thoughts i guess😌 BUT EH I DIDNT REALLY LIKE THE REVIVAL AND HOW THEY MADE RORY A HOMEWRECKER IMMA JUST IMAGINE THE REVIVAL and s4 affair DIDNT EXIST LOL
Watching this video in 2020- and it had made me want to re watch gilmore girls after already watching it two times. Edit: since I have all the time in the world since quarantine
Jess was the best for her. Dean told her he didn't care about Harvard, and tried to guilt her into not doing extracurricular activities so that they could hang out. Logan stole a boat with her and never said a word when she dropped out of Yale. Jess, however, told her to her face in season six that she was going down a bad path. He helped inspire her in the revival. Personality aside, Jess did the most good for Rory, which is why I'm Team Jess.
The writers ruined Logan in the revival honestly. They made him lose all the integrity that he had and created him as a Christopher parallel while they made Jess the parallel for Luke, which would be rorys true love. In my opinion, Rory and Logan were both really good for each other and in my head, I’m pretending that the show ended with Rory accepting Logan’s proposal. goodbye.
I was shipping her with Jess before I knew what shipping even was.

Team Jess! I always found the most chemistry for Rory was between her and Jess. He also always knew her better than any other guy. Also he became such a great guy once he matured more.
when I was younger my fav was Dean, now in my late 20s TEAM JESS (cause he evolved a lot, and became a better person) :))!
I agree, while he was a misunderstood ass in his early years with Rory, he evolved and always cared about it her. Team Jess.

Lorelai and Jess were my faves so I was really happy seeing Lorelai good with Jess
The comment section being Team Jess is so pleasing ❤ Team Jess all the way!

I haven't seen the whole revival but I saw their scene and it's so frustrating. Yes, there were a lot of problems along the way, but you can't deny that they always went back to each other. It was like they were each other's home.
Same here! Team Dean!

1000% team jess..but i have a feeling she will end up with logan or alone

Elle Jones, calm down. This is what we call life, people make mistakes. It doesn't make it better, but that is what we call being a human. Do you know how many people who have cheated accused their partners to do the same thing? they just project their on mistakes on other people, because they are not happy with themselves. If rory wouldn't have left Dean in the most shittiest way she did, and Jess wouldn't have on purpose destroyed the relationship of those two, Dean would not be that miserable in the end. They broke him.
Cutlers sorry I know I did go a bit mad.
As Rory also said in the "new" season, Dean would have been perfect for her they had met a few years later.
all i have to say is TEAM JESS!!! and in my head and heart they ended up together
Team Jess, since age eleven. Team Jess forever.
DEAN ❤️
T E A M L O G A M
the thing that gets me annoyed is that everyone refers to Jess as “the bad boy” and dean as the “good guy” but if u think about it it’s actually the opposite Jess was only like that at the start because no one thought him manors growing up his dad left him and his mam was un reliable he had a hard life and he ended up taking it out on people but then as he got older he got his life together and he helped Rory to do the same whereas dean never fully trusted Rory and trust is one of the most important things you should have in a relationship and he also got married and then him and Rory had an affair and just because dean was nice at the start doesn’t make him the good guy he was controlling a cheater and didn’t trust Rory but Jess had a hard life growing up but still managed to grow up and gat his life together and ended up being the best influence on Rory
He tried to assault Rory.
It's not just that he lacked manners it's also the fact that he was disrespectful to every person who tried to be nice to him, tried to assault Rory, stole money, acted irresponsibly etc. Like I love Jess as a character and how he grew but he was so far from perfect why can't people see that.
He’s a great character, but a shitty, toxic boyfriend and I don’t understand how people actually think he was the best boyfriend

I wish Tristan had a chance but CMM had to shoot OTH
Tristan was way too immature for Rory. I liked Chad Michael Murray so much better as Lucas Scott, where the character he played was actually interesting
@@101Lovepurple we didn’t get to see Tristan’s character develop because his time on the show was cut short. If he had stayed we would’ve gotten to see him on a deeper level. I think ASP had bigger plans for Tristan and Rory, so it’s too bad he left even though I love OTH too
I've always thought Logan was the new Tristan - rich, spoiled, blond party boy-toy with daddy issues.
@@csillakaszas7285 yup. Logan was written to fill in Tristan’s place! Tristan was meant to be Rory’s Logan but he left 😢

Dean deserved better, Rory really treated him like dirt!
...he also convinced her to sleep with him when he was married sooo

The other ones just about disappointment, tear and deception....
cant agree more
Good points
The problem is that in time Rory fell out of love with Dean and in love with Jess. He saw it and tried to control it. She didn't want to admit it to Dean (or herself?) and lied to him. I felt sorry for him until he cheated on his wife by sleeping with Rory. I was all for them being friends, but that wasn't fair to his wife or to Rory.
I think Rory needs to stand on her own two feet for awhile. She has never done that emotionally or financially.
Jess don't even argue with me
I would say Logan because I just love his character, but practically speaking, Jess.
I think they all had great moments, personally team Jess tho
Thisssss

Okay I can see you like Logan, and I can see why you don’t think Jess would be good for Rory. But I have to ask, why are you saying that Dean wouldn’t be a good husband for Rory?
To be honest Rory is a bad person, so she probably deserves the worst one of three: Dean.

Team Jess, because as he matured he proved that he was the only one who continues to be Team Rory.
I’ve loved all of them at times in the series but overall Logan is the one for Rory!

Yessss is everyone blind in the comments, I'm so happy I saw this
Dean
Dean was a "jerk" bc she gave reasons to hanging out with the guy who Dean hated and she eventually cheated on him
No, Dean was a jerk because he led Rory to believe he was getting a divorce, cheated on his wife who still wanted to make it work, was horrendous to his wife when he got back from the cheating, and then blamed Rory for his marriage falling apart
@@emilys1418 hear hear
K S That seems like the kind of man that Rory deserves... let’s be honest they are perfect for each other. Both are horrible people.
Katherine Castineiras you're totally right😍 team Logan always and forever

TEAM JESS of course!!!!
i’m so mad to have learned that jess was supposed to get his own show about his life after he left stars hollow. if they had given jess his own show, they might’ve been able to give rory a different story arc where she like went out to california and they reconciled earlier than they did in gilmore girls.
Logan propose to Rory! How much more dedication do you need?
But Logan's love was conditioned
When she didn't feel ready to do something he wanted it was easier for him to say goodbye than to wait.
And just to finish, the propose maybe happened because he was afraid of losing her, and it was easier for him to retain her in a certain way than to fight for a love that goes through obstacles,or lose an independent rory who thrives in the real world
@@karensanchezranero7258 Exactly!!
@@karensanchezranero7258 Yes ----- we already saw how it prospered alone lol
YES! THANK YOU! I found someone else who agrees with me!
Joy Amadi i mean u can compare them. Jess is a jerk. Dean is sweet but overprotective. Logan is perfect! See compared them.😊

What
*What Rory tells Dean about Jess*: *Because he doesn't treat me right*, right?
And you wouldn't want me to be with someone who doesn't treat me right.
Yep, Jess is the one for her...
*What Rory says about Dean:*
You were the most amazing boyfriend in the world.

TEAM LOGAN DESERVES MORE RECOGNITION. THEY WERE PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER.
Well Logan did say something about the boat and dropping out of yale 🤔
The writers ruined Logan in the revival honestly. They made him lose all the integrity that he had and created him as a Christopher parallel while they made Jess the parallel for Luke, which would be rorys true love. In my opinion, Rory and Logan were both really good for each other and in my head, I’m pretending that the show ended with Rory accepting Logan’s proposal. goodbye.
