First of all you can hear it from the recording, sometimes the difference you can have between pick and fingers is not well distinguished, so you can go to a live video search or on google of the bassist in question. im late, but a trick I use is to slide (maintain ur finger while the note is still ringing and moving along the neck) til u get to the 3rd note on the 2nd string (same one u use for the 7/), then just move your finger to the 1st string (bottom one) to play the 3rd note over there. Its just a matter of practice and seeing what sounds right, hope this helped you :)

im late, but a trick I use is to slide (maintain ur finger while the note is still ringing and moving along the neck) til u get to the 3rd note on the 2nd string (same one u use for the 7/), then just move your finger to the 1st string (bottom one) to play the 3rd note over there. Its just a matter of practice and seeing what sounds right, hope this helped you :)
