I have watched 69 of the videos before this video in the playlist, and yet I never understood that maybe I wasn't keeping the tension well so that I had to shift then swing. This is opening up a little bit to what my batting is actually like. Thanks
Great video Matt! Agree with you on all you hear alot of times is timing, timing, timing. Controlling your weight and load is key! Excellent analysis here I will share with my kids, thanks!
I’ve been watching this kid for a few years. Really good mechanics and strong. Unfortunately my daughter has to pitch to her as a freshman pitcher in the SEC. gotta get her to chase something out of zone. She’s gonna do damage otherwise.
For sure!!
Great videos! I appreciate that you do videos for softball as well 👏🏼
Thanks!
What’s your opinion on the locked out stride leg /knee ?
I think the leg will straighten as the back leg turns and the upper body works back. Doesn’t have to be a completely stiff leg though
Teaching “loading” on back leg is strictly a subjective teaching. It’s something you like…. Research says transitioning weight from back to front with proper kinetic sequencing is the most efficient swing. This player is “hanging back” on their back leg but are just strong enough to get away with it
