Chiyari, as everyone knows, was the original queen of UDoALG. She was so broken that some tournaments had to explicitly ban her alongside Reimu. In the old version, funnily enough, has slightly less favorable matchup against Yuuma. Only slightly because she still dominated. Her original gameplan was to build gauge, use a level 3, and spam level 2s. Sometimes even multiple level 3s stacked on top of each other plus a level 2. Fortunately, ZUN realized the terror he had unleashed and nerfed Chiyari, specifically her ex attacks, level 2 and 3. He did however buff her level 1 that deals very good damage when shotgunning. The current consensus is that Chiyari still remains top tier in pvp, though actually balanced now. Next time, time to see what the lesbian and masochistic grape can pull off

Fortunately the only thing it drank was sake (and that's how the girls captured it in the first place) before Sakuya could bring it back to the mansion. The chapter narration claims Remilia (and Flandre) sees it as a cute pet, while everybody else treats it as the mansion's new watchdog. Next week we'll summon Tour Guide of the Underworld in attack mode and use its effect.
"How does this get through testing?" Bee, ZUN only got more playtesters *after* 1.00 dropped. And they weren't for balance, only testing the netcode part :P It speaks wonders that the netcode still doesn't work (at least in the US with its continent size) despite that. ZUN balances everything himself, so the answer "what testing?" is entirely accurate
Chiyari gives me Medicine vibes because they both make me move around the screen. And boy, how I hate that! At the same time, I really enjoy playing both of them.

Oh dear god even you are comparing her pre-patch to Brawl Meta Knight this is my fault isn't it (I was the first one to compare them just because "broken character that centralizes the meta all around them", but that's all they've got going as a comparison because Brawl MK wasn't exactly an auto-win unless you used a really bad character, plus bans of him were kinda controversial in the competitive Brawl scene from what I hear, while no one had any issues banning Chiyari until the update... Blame one of my tweets and one of my videos about it blowing up very slightly, ig) Anyway, I don't really have anything to say that hasn't been said, other than, I guess some extra details about her nerf. For one, her fireballs used to be completely undeletable before. Now they aren't. Some of them disappear upon the player dying and running over one of them (and maybe bombing? don't remember). Additionally, Yuuma's Lv1 and 2 can now delete them too. (Yuuma in herself already having been a top tier, and even better now...) I also wanna talk about something I mentioned early in this video series, and that's the resolution glitch. Basically, as a refresher, playing at certain resolutions, such as 640x480, would cause the EX attack tells to go to wrong places on the screen before spawning. As you can guess, this was very stupid with Chiyari. Nowadays as well, her fireballs take like half a second to spawn in, so you can more or less react to them. Back then though? They appeared _instantly._ As a result, when combined with the resolution glitch, you could end up going inside the spawn place of a fireball and get telefrag'd that way. Yeah it was not fun. That said though, funnily enough, Chiyari wasn't the easiest LNN in the game even pre-patch, those honors went to Reimu, and that's for one simple reason. Chiyari fights Orin, whose spirits shoot a bunch on Lunatic, and Reimu doesn't. And hell, even if Reimu did, her Lv2 would delete them entirely anyway, while Chiyari actually has to attempt to dodge. Emphasis on _attempt..._
I see Suika's plan here less "hoping they get frustrated" and more just forcing them to admit and see how they react. At the very least it got all 3 to admit they were used by her and set off to do their own thing anyway. I don't think Enoko in particular would have actually went through with getting Marisa's help if she hadn't had this confrontation with Suika that confirmed everything,f or example. I like reading it as Suika ultimately getting one over anyway, since that's meant to be how the Reimu thing plays out, but the other theme is that aside from Reimu EVERYTHING is to Zanmu's plan so it's nicer to me if Suika gets to be the bigger spanner.
You know what these th19 videos feel like a break for your editor, because yeah while he still has to review all the footage of over half a dozen hours there isnt really much editing needed, maybe at most like 40 or so text boxes and thats about it, but theres no need to split up a single footage into sections or any of the sort, seems kinda relaxing honestly im completely blind
A peek behind the curtain, but Omega has called me his "Editor" since before I've actually appeared in any videos, and also before the content creator boom which popularized actually video editors. In reality I don't touch the videos at all I just "edit" (proofread) all of his text for grammar and spelling. Truthfully Omega does over 90% of the work and I'm just some silly guy on the sidelines that gets bullied into playing shmups sometimes. Although if it wasn't for me, every video of his from the beginning of his channel would have had quite a lot of spelling errors

This entire channel is basically one big manzai routine, and the “editor” plays a vital role as the boke for the tsukkomi omega to play off of, though i will say he was still plenty funny before then but now he is more funny which is always a bonus along with the linguistic checks.

I don't know much about Japanese folk lore so I thought maybe that's the reason But I just don't understand what Suika is talking about Like Zanmu is the reason that former hell became "former" to begin with Because she discarded it like trash because it wasn't useful anymore, same as what she did to the traitors here And they LIKE her for it? Malign actors often have a great deal of charisma (think dictators, narcissists, etc.) and so people feel drawn to them in spite of the fact that they more often than not ruin the lives of everyone involved with them. The same may be true for Zanmu. As per her backstory and historical inspiration she was also a very un-human-like human and willingly chose to die *and* go to Hell. That's some serious strength of will, something that oni especially admire. A lot of oni also followed her to new Hell. Chiyari herself further states that many in Former Hell do harbor a lot of resentment for being thrown away by Zanmu, so she cares about that more than she does about Zanmu herself or her force of personality. The Nippaxit™just had some very neat side effects for her specifically.
