I reckon it's based on the idea that everyone's controlled throughout their lives. The video shows the same person as he gets older (kid in bedroom, man at the desk with the toy plane & the old man siping whiskey) all on ropes, which makes sense considering the lyrics "they've got you on your knees, they've got your milk and honey" and "They've got you by your strings". They whole thing is sick though, my concept could be totally wrong but that's what I was getting. Thank you Neckdeep for another solid blessing.
