    Billy is almost as big an icon here as he is Scotland. I've seen him 3 times, and the man never fails to have me howling. He's f*cking brilliant!

    I’ve seen Billy on stage twice, in Melbourne and my jaw and stomach ached from laughing. He really is the best storyteller! VERY popular in Australia!

    Saw Billy at Sydney Opera House, decades ago. Never laughed so much. Has always been very popular in Oz. Love my big amount of Scottish heritage too. Fiona McL

    We adore Billy in Australia, we always have, his humour is right up our street, but the thing is, when you marry an Australian, you become an honorary Aussie, so this was a home away from home for him. ✌❤

    Yes it was played here on Australian tv. This parody came out soon after the actual series. Shaun did a similar pisstake after Billy's bridge documentary series played here. We all love Billy. F@*ken briilllant!

    He has done heaps of comedy gigs here, saw his travel series in Australia on the 3 wheel motorcycle! Very popular in Australia!

    Billy Connolly was introduced to us in the 1970's through appearances on Parkinson.
    He was quite different to anyone else.

    Billy toured Australia many times before Parkinson's put a stop to his career. Very funny man 😊

      I've seen Billy multiple times Sydney, laughed my head off. I wanted to see him on his last tour but husband said let's remember him as he was before Parkinsons. He a World Treasure just like Sir Richard Attenbourgh. I will be very sad day when both these legends leave us. Lang may your Lum reek Billy!

    Australian here. Billy Connolly is legend. But I proudly think our Shaun Micallef is on par as a comedian (with a different style, but equally world class).

    Went to see Billy Connolly back in 84 in Wellington, the following night we had Spike Milligan doing a show and Billy was in the audience, absolutely hilarious.

    I've known of Billy Connolly since he was with The Humblebums. He's an all time favourite of mine. He road a Harley around Australia.

    Billy married New Zealand actress Pamela Stephenson .She was on Australian TV at a young age as a main character in the show called Ryan in 1973

    I have the World Tour of Australia DVDs from Billy's tour of 1995. Great viewing and I still watch them occasionally. And yes, in his Melbourne episode he starts off at the Westgate Bridge. Great work by Sean Micallef too - he was one of my favourites in the Full Frontal days

    I'm Western Australian but I've never seen that show. In the old days we missed a lot of shows screened in the east. I love Shaun Micalef, so talented. Great impression, so funny. Oh and I love Billy Connelly as well.

    New Zealand loves Billy Connolly, his wife is a Kiwi. Growing up my friends father had all of Billy's records and we would listen to them all the time. The man is pure genius. Micallef's impression is fantastic and I hope the great man has seen it himself as I am sure he would of laughed himself silly over it.

    It was always difficult to get to one of his shows. Always booked out for months before the show. You had to be on his email list.

    Australia is Billy's second home, in the 80s and 90s he was always here. Pretty sure he acted in a few local movies as well. He is pretty much an Aussie!

    Saw Billy in concert in Adelaide went back stage door for autograph and got another 1/2hour with him, and I think Adam Hills was there doing an impression of him for Billy which was great but Adam wasn't known then. Always loved him and his humour.

    Matt- If you see this could you please react to Jimmy Barnes singing a Scottish tribute to his good friend and also fellow Scot, Jock Zonfrillo who passed away unexpectedly.     Billy Connolly’s tour of Australia was shown prime time here. I remember watching it when I just finished high school. Hilarious show. And full frontal were in their height around that time too, love Shaun micallef.

    Connolly is an honorary Australian just like Tina Turner. Aussie 90s TV had Billy all over it. My mate became a stand up comic because his idol is Billy. There's a lot of UK comics who became as Aussie as custard tarts. Hale & Pace were beloved in Australia.

    Billy Connolly is loved to bits in Australia. We adopted him. Someone who swears as much as we do. And he married our adopted Kiwi daughter! If you don’t have a sense of humour, you will certainly develop one, or you go home disgusted. Either way, no skin off our nose. We hope you find one soon!

    As others have stated, Billy is legendary in Australia. One of the funniest sketches I’ve seen was his comic relief sketch from years ago where he spoke about the dangers of Australian wildlife. It can be found on RUclips…

    I saw Billy at the Sydney Opera House with my husband and our Scottish friends. We had front row seats and the theatre was packed. He was hysterically funny and of course being English from the Scottish border I could understand everything he said

    Billy Connolly is hilarious, first saw one of his live shows in Melbourne in the 80's and recall him pulling out his banjo after about 40 minutes of hilarity, saying 'will give your laugh muscles a rest for a few minutes' - never a truer word spoken!

    The Scottish & Australian senses of humour are both one & the same so that's one of the reasons, I think, Billy is so well loved over here & he's one of My own fellow Countrymen, I was born in Scotland but I have lived here in Australia since I was about one year old so I think I can call myself a local, I turn 74 years old in early September this year.

    I love the idea but this is a pure pisstake. Aye I wiz awrite wae the parodying stuff that he'd done but the minute he started speakin that's when I changed my opinion completely. I could understand the accent being a wee bit off but this is way off. I've seen a billy connolly tribute act in my local that sounds ten times better. If he worked oan his accent I'd probably like him
