80's were absolutely amazing. I remember rolling down the windows and turning the music up. We'd cruise the strip and pick up the chicks. It was a never-ending party.

@@LuisRodriguez-cf4tf Yup totally right, heard it right from the lead singers' own mouth when their video debuted on MTV, was sitting there watching it live.
The drummer was David Lee Roth's workout buddy to help DLR get in shape for the 1984 tour. They went on tour with VH without any record deal or radio release. Technically, the 5150 label didn't even exist yet (although the 5150 studio did.) They signed with RCA following the tour.

These guys singlehandedly carved out the whole Hair band sound in the early 80s. Where Hair bands ruled airwaves in late 80s. They were kind of also a one hit wonder. It wasn't until Quiet Riot came along that this Genre started getting critical acclaim and praises

Used to date a dancer at Baby Dolls in Dallas when this first came out. She was a 6'2" blond named Hollywood (stage name) & she just killed this song. One Friday night she got over $1,000 in tips just dancing to this song!

@@kevinsmith4429 I have brief experience "dating" an 18 year old "dancer" when I was in my early 30's. It lasted about 2 months. There were some pretty obvious issues going on upstairs and I'm sure she was doing her own thing on her own time but at the time I felt like a boss telling people I was dating an 18 year old stripper. 🤣

Great tune! I know it's hard finding artists that every other reactor hasn't done yet and you found the Tubes which I haven't seen too many reactors do and I hope you do more of their stuff. I have NEVER seen any reactor do a Pete Townsend (Guitarist from The Who) song. Check out Face the Face and Rough Boys, both got good radio time and people will probably watch since he was a member of The Who!
This was a fun band. Song is 2 notes does the job.
When I was in middle school I bought their cassette "Loud and Clear". In the liner notes it said to write to Autograph and gave an address. I did just that and got a handwritten letter back from Steve Plunkett (The Lead Singer). I still have that letter framed in my office at work. So in essence, I got an autograph from Autograph. It made an impression on me as a youth that he took the time to write me back. Kudos to him. Loud and Clear by the way is a great Album. Not really a bad song on it.

I gotta say, your first pause was on the exact beat of the end of the intro and the beginning of the 1st verse. I wish you could have backed it up about 5-10 seconds after you made your comment. I think you may have missed the impact of the transition.
I read the heading wrong, I thought this was a song called called Turn Up Your Radio by a 1970s Australian rock band called The Masters Apprentices.
John Farnham's manager Glenn Wheatley was a guitarist in the band.
