    Thank you.
    Finally I see a demo with a normal classic bass character, and not boring metal with distortion.
    Quite close in character to the B-15 in your comparison, but still they are different. Well, Flex lacks built-in IR.

    I've used the Olympic for several years now; love it, engineers love it and the DI/Cab IR options it has makes it incredibly versatile.

      In fact, Shift-Line offers a great Bass IR pack for free or donation, would be intrigued to hear the Flex signal through their B-15 IR and see how that compares to your B-15; they sound so close already can only imagine it'd get it even closer.

      I also have the Olympic and love it. Lots of compliments on the tone from band members and front of house. It feels great and pairs well with a Cali 76 compressor and Pork and Pickle overdrive.

    Sounds great! Seems like a nice pedal!
    (Great alternative pedal: ‘Koch OD’63’.
    Built in The Netherlands by the great amp builders at Koch Amplifiers: tube/ speaker sim/ DI-out/ pre- and post- preamp effectsloops.
    A sleeper pedal for bassists for sure!)

      Seems more suited to guitar as per the videos I found. In the descriptions for it it that I saw,it doesn't mention bass.Maybe it's the best ever but I own ten different preamps and they're all built for bass or so they say.

    thanks for the video Phil, so on that run at 5:15 the shiftline seems much more tight, which not sure if it is good in the song, but it seems like it is clipping at lower wave size... did you have some extra compression there? or is it just headroom?

  • @meyersguitars2196

    Sounds awesome. I feel you had the gain up too high and bass too low in that track you were comparing. So the Ampeg sounded best but I feel you could have made that work as well. Great video.

    Hearing that Keith is making a video on fliptops (or maybe just Ampeg bass amps?) is exciting.

    fake tube cathode starved circuit? how many plate volts.

    • @Nebvin
      @Nebvin Год назад +2

      The power input is 12V 500ma. With those power requirements it's probably boosting the voltage up between 200-300V for the plate, similar to a Sushi Box FX pedal. So proper tube voltage.

    Pay no attention to that pesky ones. Pedals made in Russia but shipped thghrou Kazahstan because of sanctions. You don't need a deegree in former Soviet republics to make a video about bass pedal. Everyone is thin-skinned today and offenced by anything. Don't play along with them.
