Very Nice Review. You covered all major areas and pointed out a few that are often overlooked like the temperature and updates. I own several FineVu CR-500HD units. They allowed for detaching the unit from the mounting system, which I found useful to manage temperature and security. I found FineVu customer service great as I shipped one unit from US to KOR and they repaired even when the unit was slightly out of warranty. Unfortunately the internal battery of my CR-500HD units are no longer working and they can't be replaced so the units no longer keep date/time. Not a big issue, but I started to look for new units and your review provided plenty of information and I will be updating to the GX300

@@FrakkingCreations As a follow up I did purchase the GX300 using the link you provided and I am very happy with the purchase. As an additional item the unit can be detached from the mounting bracket, which I found very useful with my previous FineVu CR-500HD. Build quality, ease of installation, features and price point perfectly aligned with what I was looking for in a replacement camera system. Your very through review provided me with the right amount of information in me purchasing the FineVu GX300.

Thank you for the comment and good question. If enabled the GPS speed will show in the video as an overlay as shown in this video. So this will show when the video is played on the phone. As for the location and mapping the location, the app does not have that feature. So you will have to either take out the SD card and view on a computer using the FineVu player software or download the file and transfer it to the computer to be viewed in the FineVu player software. I checked again today to make sure this is the case for the latest version of the app. Hope that helps.
