    I am working on the Poppy right now. I LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! how thorough your tutorial are. And yeah I also like knowing that you make mistakes as well. I make a lot considering I get up at 4 a.m. to sew for 1 1/2 hours per day. I care for my elderly mother full time, work part time, and get VERY! little sewing/self time. Without free patterns and gifted materials I couldn't sew. Thank you for all you do!

    I am a newbie to sewing about 8 months in and was so inspired by your videos I wanted to give cork a try. The cork I bought is very thin and has no lining on the back unlike the sample piece I bought at Hobby Lobby. I really like the cork, it's beautiful, but i think it needs a backings. Can I make my cork work and how?
    Thanks

    Back again….I’m at the stage of sewing it all up (so much fun making this) and I was wondering if I could line the inside with black cork, say about two inches? If I cut the sides down to allow for the seam allowance and make it “thinner” to sew. Thanks so much for this tutorial.

    1 Question and 1 Suggestion:
    Question: What brand/style snap press do you use?
    Suggestion: An option instead of using vinyl inside, is to use fusible cotton interfacing. Single sided black works great inside wallets. OR, if you like the printed cottons, use double-sided interfacing - the lightweight stuff works fine to fuse the pieces together.

    Just received my cork and printed off the pattern….😀. Would the plastic snaps work in place of the metal? Plastic is what I have on hand, in fact I’ve never even used them yet. Thank you.

    • @SewManyCreations
      @SewManyCreations  5 месяцев назад

      Plastic will probably work but I don’t use them so I can’t say for sure.

    New question..is there a way to remove the glue (from the tape) from the cork…asking for, well me. 🙁

    • @carolbrown5516
      @carolbrown5516 5 месяцев назад +1

      Well, after torturing the cork and glue I managed to get the glue off….I am impressed with the strength of the cork fabric.

    Can I make the men's version in leather?

    • @SewManyCreations
      @SewManyCreations  10 месяцев назад +1

      Absolutely! Any non-fraying material is fine as long as your machine can handle the thickness.

    I haven't had the chance to watch the complete tutorial yet but what caught my attention very quickly was the template set that you have for this wallet. The poppy wallet. I did look to see if you had a place where I could look at those templates and I did not see that. How would we purchase them if I was interested. Templates ra total game changer.
