The BTR-80A has finally arrived in War Thunder and I have always been curious when this vehicle and the others from its family would arrive in the game. Currently, it sits at a battle rating of 7.0 with some pretty lethal ammo that will decimate nearly anything. I hope you enjoy the video!

unless they do the upgraded version of the standard striker which has a 50 cal and a javelin launcher, would be fun to get the dragoon and M-SHORAD in as well at some point.

@@sawyerawr5783 that's the LAV-25, based on the LAV II family, They are used for fire support and recon in force. Styker is based on the LAV III and has a better armor package available for it.

The real move with 2 pe-8s is to have the first guy spawn 30 seconds before the second guy and have him bomb an area with heavy enemy pressence. The second guy bombs the enemy spawn 30 seconds later 😈

I just can't be bothered trying to find and use a safe ad blocker.
Also the cost of living has gone way up recently, so giving youtube money to get rid of a few ads is not on my list of priorities (I prefer to have my bills paid, food on the table & some money left over for the things I enjoy).
I grew up watching television with ads that didn't have a skip button (before internet streaming services.. heck before home internet lol), so a few ads don't bother me in the slightest.

I'm surprised people are still using Pe 8 for big bomb , but I haven't seen a single Lancaster with the 12k lb bomb at all ...

The BTR-80A is only rated for a Sea State of 2. The clip at the beginning was more like a 4. No wonder the thing almost sank 😂

That thing looks huge, but modern combat requirements don't necessarily allow squatter or shorter vehicles.

Interesting, can you elaborate on why tall vehicles are required?
That doesn't sound so right, considering the M1 Abrams is a foot shorter than the Sherman, isn't it the opposite way around? Tall tanks get seen and killed easier than short tanks?
@@xtlegacy1020 One of the main things would be underside blast protection like the V or double V hull designs. that adds some height that you might not recover internally. There's also troop/crew ergonomics/comfort issues that could increase height as well.

Well, it's amphibious capabilities atleast look about correct. The damn thing is a sneeze away from being a watery grave. We finns unfortunately have sneezed and the BTR sunk taking people with it.
