The IS-3 has always been a very solid heavy tank in War Thunder since its introduction. Even with all the changes and evolutions of this game it is still relevant today. I did not honestly expect though to get a nuke in the new map fighting for my life in the mall. As always we love to hear from you in the comments!

To be fair, I've been watching your channel for about 5 years and I'm yet to be able to differentiate between Sturmling and Stickboy. In my Boniverse headcannon, they are the same person talking.

Day 196. You know, hearing from so many military experts - particularly LtColonel Nicholas “The Chieftain” Moran, it is true that the IS-3 really wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Sure, at the Victory Parade in Berlin, the IS-3 (which was NOT a tank to see combat in WWII) shocked the West. However, fast forward to the times where it was used in combat, it really did not hold up well at all. A prime example was its use by the Egyptians during the Six-Day War of 1967 against Israel. When it came up against Israeli Sho’t Khal (Centurion) and Magach (M60A3 Patton) tanks. Sure, the Sho’t Khals had a hard time cracking its shell, but the Magachs and their new ammunition types for their 105mm guns ripped into the thick hides of the beasts no problem. Of course, the IS-3 was not used in its intended role in this conflict, mostly being stuck in dug-in positions guarding Egyptian airfields. And in the blistering heat of the desert sun, their diesel engines could not take the heat.
Imagine if a T26E4 Super Pershing went up against an IS-3? I’ve seen ballistic simulations about this. The 122mm D-25T would have less penetration the farther out the Super Pershing was. And with that HVAP ammunition that the Super Pershing had (which had 305mm of penetration at 100m sloped at 30°), I do believe that it would have a very high probability to penetrate the pike nose of the IS-3. But as of now, it’s only speculation based on ballistic statistics.

It never ceases to amaze me how Bo and his gang can consistently get so many awards/medals. I am at least average skill-wise and I struggle to get more than like 5-6 medals a game.

Fun fact, you don't actually have to die in your vehicle to get into the nuke bomber. You have to press the 9 key. Just make sure you stash your tank in a safe space
