MBTA 1028 Leads Amtrak 697 at Old Orchard Beach - 7/29/2023

Amtrak 696 had mechanical issues with the #88 in Andover MA, and was unable to recover. Keolis was able to bring a rescue set out and drag them into Boston, and then lend them the 1028 for the trip back to Brunswick. Here they are almost 3 1/2 hours late at Atlantic Avenue in Old Orchard Beach, ME. At Portland, they had a an extra crew ready to tie the 89 on and then continue to Brunswick. The second location is Allen Avenue in Portland.
