    I absolutely loved the video . 🥺
    I am so sorry , you got accused of plagiarism (even I got accused of that lol ). The saddest part is Tammy is such a queen and she literally is an inspiration but when we actually get inspired , some people often misunderstand it as being a copy .
    But leaving that aside , I loved the little pear guy 🍐. Next time when you use cold porcelain , you can try using liquid food colour to colour clay . Chalk pastels can make the clay dry 🤭. I hope you try it again 🩷

      Thank you so much for watching the video! 🥰 I actually often see people get discouraged from pursuing any kind of art just because they are afraid they would be called out on copying someone. I mean, don't we all copy each other to a certain extent? There are so many artists it's almost impossible to be totally unique and you first need to see something you really like or experience something to get inspired. And that's okay, but obviously not for those who only know of the most famous creators. :( Btw yes, Tammy is amazing and such a great inspiration!! ✨

      I mean, Tammy herself encourages people to create their cozy clay biz full of cute little critters. It's not like you straight up copied her designs and claimed them as your own. Art styles are a thing. Similar styles happen. Also, inspiration has always been a main driving force for artists, that's kind of the point. Artists have been emulating each other since the moment humans started painting on cave walls. Don't listen to troll nonsense.

      I pigmented my ColPo with gouache paints and never had any issues, just saying. Just keep in mind that it will dry a little lighter abd less saturated than the wet color.

    I‘m so sorry to hear you got accused of stealing other people‘s designs, I actually think your characters are so unique and distinct! I recently started experimenting with polymer clay for the first time and I feel like my characters still look very similar to other artists‘, which is why I hesitate to put them on my shop. Yours are really unique und extremely cute tho, I love them! ✨

    • @FairySyrup
      @FairySyrup  16 дней назад +2

      Thank you so much! That's actually funny because I feel like it's so hard to have unique designs because cute characters are very popular in the polymer clay community and sooo many people are doing them! (And I actually think it's experiencing such a boom partially thanks to Uncomfy who made this theme so popular) Sometimes you can even make something almost identical to someone else's creations just by an accident because there are so many of them! So don't worry about putting them on your shop. However, I noticed an unfortunate thing, and that is people love to look at these creations but they rarely buy them. 😂😭

      @@FairySyrup Thank you so much for the encouragement to put my characters on my shop, I really appreciate it. And you are so right by saying that cute character designs are SO popular at the moment, and I also think you really cannot pin down one artist or moment where this emerged, because it is such a widespread trend. I really hope you will be able to sell a lot of your products from your shop update, I will definitely be on your website as soon as it drops :)

    Ah, the secret ingredient, cat hair! My cold porcelain also has cockatiel feathers and random birdseed huska in it because we're crafty in this household 😂 but yes, I've microwaved my cold porcelain for over a decade and I very much prefer that method.vit also appears to last longer.

    You're doing a great job! I felt so bad when I read those comments blaming you for copying Tammy. It's sad to see some people turn such a beautiful and positive thing like art into toxic blame games. This makes me so scared to even post my first clay art vlog. Afraid that someone might accuse me of copying some or the other artist. However I'll just say that you're so courageous to face these people and stand up for your art and come up with another awesome video! All the very best to you!

    • @FairySyrup
      @FairySyrup  16 дней назад +1

      Thank you so much for your support! I can see why so many people can see the similarity, because Tammy was the first polymer clay artist I ever watched on RUclips, so it's hard not to be influenced by that, but I would never copy someone's art or designs. I, as an artist, see a plagiarism as a very serious thing and I think each artist should aim for at least a tiny part of uniqueness. Also, most people don't seem to realize that when there's a popular artist creating something, it doesn't mean they invented the style because they were also inspired by something. Art is overall a subjective and sensitive matter but it's pretty hard not to let the opinions of other people discourage you, especially when they call you a copycat.

    i use polymer clay, from a really good brand, that is the only one that i liked yet. ista called polycol. i use the natural one or the white one, i didnt use the colored ones yet. when i was living in brazil it was so cheap that i couldnt believe, but here in portugal is actually a lot more expensive. but anyways, i recomend it a lot! is super soft and dont dry as fast

  • @kashaestuesday

    these came out soooo cute omg! ive been wanting to make this clay too, how is it that it doesnt catch dust? omg this might be my replacement for polymer clay. i dont use the colored clay because of all the dust, instead i just buy white and paint over it.

    • @FairySyrup
      @FairySyrup  День назад

      You just need to try it yourself, I personally can't see it as a replacement for polymer clay, but I believe you can learn to work with it - I'm just not that patient lol. Also my friend told me that store bought cold porcelain is so much better than the homemade one. So I'll probably still stick with polymer clay haha. And the reason it doesn't catch dust so much is that it's not sticky once you work with it! To remove dust from polymer clay, I use rubbing alcohol and cotton swabs. It takes some time but I always to manage to remove all the dirty parts with it.

    Hello! Loved your video!❤️ I must say you did well on your first and 2nd try. It took me months to get that kind of consistency. I always overcook my clays on a stove top.😂 Oh! And also, you should have kept the 1st batch because you can still use it as filler for larger pieces. Btw, i just felt the need to share this with you, if you are working with tiny details and you dont want it to dry up immediately, try adding a bit of lotion to the clay.☺️ +1 sub here from the Philippines!😊

    I loved your video! And you said it perfectly in your replies to other comments. Don’t we all somewhat copy each other? So what. If someone copies something I do I am flattered! I accept it as a compliment that I inspired others! Also like you said, many of us are fans of Japanese art. Or Kawaii. A “pear” is a “pear!” You really can’t change the Kawaii look that much! Just keep making your art. Most people who find the need to say mean things are just bitter and probably jealous. My mom always taught me that if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all! ❤

      Hey, same here. I probably wouldn't stand a chance selling stuff like this in my country and even if I have, I'd have to price them so low it wouldn't be even worth making them in the first place. Everybody seems to like these stuff but they wouldn't pay for it. But honestly, it's kind of everywhere. I have almost 4k visits on my Etsy shop, so many likes on my products and only 7 sales so far. I feel like giving up quite often to be honest.
