You know.....I've been seeing a lot of stylists doing this on RUclips. Its unnecessary. The whole point of the roller set is to avoid heat and give body and fullness. Its more beautiful than a flat iron to me. More natural looking. Healthy.
Some people like to use rollersetting as an alternative to blow drying with a comb or brush because you get smooth results with less manipulation. Smooth blow dry= silky flat iron. It’s just prepping the hair for flat iron differently

Great work can you tell me the best shampoo and conditioner for silk presses and what to use when I’m rollersetting the hair as far as a setting lotion or foam wrap that doesn’t make the hair hard but makes it silky?
I use kera care shampoo and conditioner. We usually don’t use setting lotion or foam on our rollerset if we are straightening it afterwards. If your not then Nairobi foam is amazing! These products can be found here www.studiotechilo.com . Results do vary though

She means no direct blow dryer heat. The flat iron is to polish it and keep it from frizzing up from the humidity or moisture in the air.
