- In this video, I break down my best deadlift practices in real time. You'll get a behind the scene look at how I coach people to get a stronger deadlift. This video was recorded during a seminar in Ithaca at Pallas Fitness so you'll get the real deal - questions, answers, and all the heavy lifting knowledge you can handle.

Such quality information for free. Thank you sir!
I love watching the seminar and coaching- if there are any more seminars about programming that would be amazing to see. The other one up on the channel is mostly a nutrition and recovery talk with a bit of programming.
(It's also funny that everyone here does the crossfit habits of touch-n-go and drop from the top).
Well done to all the folks learning.
So much to every lift. That's why you start light. Get the movement right first. Ive got hurt to much rushing to lift. Awesome Moose!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
So much knowledge and explains it in such an easy way to understand. Brilliant
Wow. Such great content. Succinct, pertinent and effective. Really enjoyed this!
I’m so impressed ❤💪
Excellent coaching champ! Love from Estonia
Holy crap, that was the best explanation for deadlift mechanics
Man I'd love to go to something like this. Invaluable training
This is gold. I'll be able to coach myself with these once I recover sufficiently from my PFPS. Will you be doing a seminar on squats any time soon?
Man, I'd love this kind of 1 on 1 coaching for DL's!
Excellent video thank you sir
His Coaching quality is fantastic.
I know I'm going to end up watching this 100 times 😂
great coaching
Great stuff! A lot for me to work with here. I've been doing it all wrong hahaha.
quality infromtaion.. i like it
Thank you
This is great stuff but my god it annoys me when people drop the bar at the top instead of putting it down.
thank you i learned a lot
On 1rep max, it's my lower back that fails. I will work with a wider grip and stance, see how that helps, super helpful video!
Quality seminar everyone gets cuing
Love the yeah
Lots of love from Saskatchewan!
Damn. I didn’t know other people lived here. 😂
@@BigStinker_14 hard to believe! Regina or Saskatoon? I'm in Regina surely there's no one else that lives in Regina 😂
is there any schedule where we can find out where your going to be if we want to attend a seminar?
Bump
Bro....😂 i thought the labrum was in the shoulder... is there one in the hip too? I learn a lot from these instructional videos
my l5s1 hates me.
i find a hybrid sumo give me most glute feel off the deck (feels like a higher squat). it seems a stiffer dead keeps the disc in check and the fail point for me is behind the knees to hammy (grey shirt). and the one i like but the l5 doesn't like is like in the (green shirt) 14:28.
I will try to continue working on hip mobility for now and just try deads with higher reps/less wght.
This guy is a fkn beauty
❤
👏👏
when i widened my grip/stance my deadlift improved
Big man, north America needs you to represent an take on arm wrestling an make it yours..
Love watchins this shit.
LHBK
I wanna come to a class
Love this guy " YEAH" ??...lolol The one thing i noticed that he didn't really address was bar placement over the foot for different arm leverages..
Theyre all short
Can you actually sum it up shortly? Basically long legs + short arms = bar closer to the fingers?
I don't deadlift but this makes me want to, I avoid it due to the stereotype about back injury in general, should this be a concern or would you recommend it for everyone?
If done correctly it's a great exercise for building hamstrings glutes and lower back.
Just don’t be tempted to go heavy until you have mastered the technique as it only takes one heavy poorly executed lift to cause some serious injuries which is the main reason behind the negativity around dead lifting
Deadlift make back strong. Not deadlift make back weak.
Been deadlifting on and off for about 15 years or so. I have a very sedentary profession. Some of my colleagues ( some even younger than me ) has back problems. Me? not so much 😎
Bruh my 70 year old mom deadlifts
Lovely as
I get your point, but if these people are not strength athletes, they shouldn't be shortening their range of motion to lift more weight, right? They probably would be better off lifting at a deficit for mobility and hypertrophy. You seem like a natural teacher. I'm a teacher too, and just bringing this to your attention. I am an amateur deadlifter and workout programmer and i defer to your final judgements. Just food for thought from another inquisitive mind
He clarifies multiple times in these seminar videos when these people should/shouldn't consider what he's teaching them due to this exact concern.
Nothing like the sound of 100lbs beinf dropped to the floor
You can tell these are crossfitters because they drop the bar on the last rep instead of finishing.
I thought Mitch was a good lifting coach until I saw him talking physical therapy... and in comparison he knows nothing about lifting.
What sneakers are you wearing?
Tyr CXT-1, i checked the website though they don't have this colourway, now i check the video i think these are custom for Mitch himself.
interesting, WSM knows his shit
