Wicked set and definitely saved 🤪👍👍
Wanting everyone to conform to a certain way of thinking is ironically an unconscious thought from your ego. Eckhart Tolle speaks of this in his Essential Teachings. The ego craves problems, and enemies- it loves them. Once we awaken we can be relieved from suffering. The useless years of complaining will no longer hold us captive. Full disclosure this could be my ego attempting to persuade you into my way of thinking. Having said this, I would agree that this style of djing will always be more spontaneous, and thrilling because of the risk involved with people dancing while a vinyl record is being played without computer assistance. The limitations of only being able to use one record per deck fosters creativity by encouraging artists to think outside the box. One thing we need to consider is that most the new songs aren't being released as vinyl singles (vinyl singles have a wider dynamic range than full length, and are therfore better for playing in clubs), so even if djs wanted to be more "real" they are extremity limited to what they can play. Not to mention how copywrite infringement laws have undeniably changed over the past 3 decades. The only change you and I can do to make a the dj world a better place is to support vinyl djs. Go out and listen to people playing vinyl as often as you can. Start an indie record label, and press new music to vinyl. Let your passion shine through. Be a positive force for change and ask the other banal platitudes. If you made it this far, I hope you know that you are not alone in your misguided hatred. Every new dj set seems fake with no real passion.
