Yanmar 22 kW generator's engine operates at a higher speed during cold weather, similar to how a car engine behaves. However, sometimes the engine speed may exceed the safe range, causing the generator controller to shut off the engine unnecessarily. It's worth noting that the higher speed during warm-up is normal and acceptable. In this video, we'll guide you through adjusting the controller's settings to inform it that the higher speed and frequency are within an acceptable range, and that it doesn't need to shut off the generator. Essentially, we'll be changing the "set point" for the high-speed and high-frequency levels.
