Well, if your are total against AI a 6 month ago and now releasing your own version it is not nice. However, I think to create AI option and allow creators to submit their model as LORa for AI generation is smart way to do. It is not implemented correctly and feel very rushed to me, but i see good potentials in this.
@@Geekatplay YEa I did hear you mention an idea of Daz Creating Loras from Assets in their marketplace, good idea on the surface but I can imagine that would get expensive very fast if commission is due per image to the asset creators. Its a difficult conversation, especially since there are already millions of free AI creators online and many like you and I have already have Stable Diffusion with tons of checkpoints where we can create anything we want for free.

I used Dazstudio for pose & clothing reference. Then modify it with img2img and inpainting. It'll allow me to control the result much easier without stressful AI RNG. The NVIDIA Iray rendering is quite fast but you don't have to maximize your render to modify it with Stable Diffusion (Daz had NVIDIA denoise to shorten the rendering process)
i think if they had ControlNet and SD2 or SDXL it would be more useful.

@@twitchew NOT EVERYONE CAN USE SD XL , ESPECIALLY FOR AMD CPU USER(s) , when trying to use SD with AMD PC , the launch will failed and there is no way to slove that !!!!!
I think the only way to slove this is to ~ BUY A NEW NVIDIA CPU , BUY A NEW NVIDIA DISPLAY CARD , AND BUY A NEW NVIDIA MOTHERBOARD !!!!!!!!!!!!
so if the DAZ AI can run smoothy with AMD PC , it's a GOOD news for me and most of the AMD users !!!!!

try animate your ai image, you will know why 3d models still exist... it's not an image studio, it's a 3d studio...
You are right, they missed the market and now they come with an image generator two generation behind. I hardly ever use DAZ anymore. And the DAZ AI, well if you run a local install of SDXL you get better results...
I think it is using SD1.5 , least output looks to me that way.

i would love to have a quick - "send my render to the AI for modification" , I really want to take my 3d work and change the style to something like photo or cinematic , etc.
DAZ has a history of promoting the next big thing in their lineup only to completely neglect in within a year or two. The latest examples are Daz Bridge and Daz Central.
Try getting a illustrated or pixel art render, it's not there. But early days yet. I think it's SDXL base train on mostly trained on G9 figures. I think they would have to give me a free trial of the full version before I could make a choose to subscribe.

Whats interesting is, just this week I've been considering using DAZ 3d or similar app to create animations or storyboard images because Generative AI sucks at consistency for Story Telling. Im guessing since this new service is based on Stable Diffusion it will suffer from the same issue of randomness. Example: You prompt for a person sitting and having coffee, and with every generation the room changes as the seed changes. And no easy control of Camera Angles, 100% consistent Clothes along with Character etc and completely forget about Couples sitting and looking at each other. Only Ideogram and Midjourney can do that, Stable completely sucks at it.
BTW: Im extremely advanced with Stable, I heavily use custom Loras, Controlnet etc but even still , it just has no real consistency.
AI can generate nice images, however i feel that using AI it will generate it vision, and not yours.
The trend that Daz3D is going now is like the path that Motorola ang Nokia had done in the previous years before they became obsolete. This thing would happen to every technology who's always sleeping on the trends of technology. It seems that their application developers aren't willing to embrace changes as AI was already starting more than a year now at the development is staggering. In a matter of 12 months, 3D AI will dominate 3D animation.
I love Daz3D but not to their present mindset now. It's either adapt or become extinct.
