When I first found your channel a few years ago I would honestly have been one of those people leaving “spoiled” comments. (I never did, but I definitely thought it). But I’ve continued to watch your videos occasionally over the years and just happened to click on this one. When you’re someone without the opportunity to have nice horses, make connections with high profile people, go to big shows etc. it can be so easy to just give in to the jealousy and say that no one who has those things deserves it. And while I’ve worked as a groom for some people who for sure didn’t (girls who literally didn’t touch their horses at all before or after riding etc.), your channel has honestly helped me remember that not everyone is like that. It’s just refreshing to see you taking care of your horses at home, talking about still working hard etc. Because ofc logically no one’s going to be able to win by just riding around the ring on a horse they never ride, but it’s so easy to feel that way when you’ve never even had a horse that knew what a lead change was😂 Anyways, I just wanted to say you’re a breath of fresh air, good luck on your riding team, and keep up that lovely mix of confidence and humbleness you have rn💕
I love your candor and honesty. You are a shining example of a complete horseman and such a lovely rider. I can only hope that young riders, from Pony Clubbers with a hand-me-down pony (me, back in the day) to the other end of the financial equine spectrum - can learn the lessons that you did about kindness, manners and gratitude. Continued success and happiness.
