Man I bet they’re messed up from the water fluctuations. I cleaned some crappie Monday that we caught in 14’ of water and three still had some eggs in them. They weren’t full and we also caught spawned out females with them but a few still had eggs. I’m guessing with the water fluctuations that they held off longer. Usually by mid to late May they’re done but here we are the first week in June and some seem to be waiting to finish up or not going to finish. I think the TVA really does try hard to kill the fishery system. On the Cumberland anyway

Hey man. How’s it going? Good I hope. I was wondering if you could help me out? How much weight do you recommend for a dragging weight dragging in 40 -60,000 gpm current? Or how much weight period to hold baits in place anchored in that kind of current?

That's why us pond and lake fishermen call you guys river warriors. You all have to fight the current and barges for your spots. Keep up the good fight. Be blessed. My friend.

Man those rivers are different animals than our lakes here in Oklahoma. I mean, once fall gets here, the wavy boats and water rockets go away and the lake is ours. I'm guessing you deal with those barges year round??
