I think Hickman should reboot this. There is definitely a great story in here. He now has the chops to go and get a S-tier artist like Dragotta to flesh out the battles and tactics and more movement in the book.
If you dig Mike Duncan's History of Rome podcast I would also highly recommend his Revolutions podcast, which has become my personal favorite history-based pod

Nah I like that Hickman expects his readers to know a little bit of history or at least research. I think this is his own take on The Book of the New Sun series by Gene Wolfe. That series is super tough to read and I've read some doozies like almost all of Malazan Book of the Fallen.

Pax Romana Work sounds quite interesting the storyline seems cool. Doing your own Art an original story would be hard.
