- We're finally about to start tackling the Telegraph Track in Cape York in the vehicles. We're planning on towing these home built Toyhaulers along with us through the whole track. Good or bad we get stuck in and I've gotta say for Day 1 on the Tele Track we do get our fair share of drama.
First thing in the morning we leave Bramwell Junction to head North fully loaded and stocked up. Unfortunately the camp beside us had a rider in their bike group break his leg at Palm Creek, not dropping in, he nailed the landing. it was the wheelie out of Palm Creek to cause grief. after making sure all were ok and could get out alright we continued to drive on.
The on going axle issues we originally had in Cairns start to really come back with a vengeance. No fault to trailer design just the assembly process on my end and lack of knowledge really gets both us back under my trailer for more work just in some really not ideal situations.
Things like me best mate and a keen sense of adventure means we just keep pushing on.
Keen to show not just all the good bits Cape York can offer but also all the pro's and cons of towing on tracks that may be more suited to your typical 4x4. I'm also striving to show the pros and cons of having either a side by side buggy or a quad bike along in North Queensland.

Loved the trip we’ve just done but there’s so much more Cape York and North Queensland has to offer. I’ll definitely be back but maybe to somewhere new!
Yes I been going up for 42 years I been to 95% of the spots on the Cape heaps more to see and than do. to me the OTT is just a overrated 150ks track, great series I liked watching , I got a Utube channel if your bored one day check it out, Tomkinson Productions. @@outnabout_oz
