(2019, OC Animatic) she's not good at serenades

So, I know I recently uploaded an animatic compilation, but... there's a few, older ones I've been holding onto, with some intention to eventually revamp them!
However, this one has so many story elements that have changed, I can't see it being redone. This is one of my personal favorite rough animatics, though, and once again I found myself hating the idea that it would rot away in unlisted without ever being seen. Soo... Here we are! Ripping the bandaid off.
This animatic was originally made in response to an art prompt in my friend's Discord, which was basically "Have the villain serenade your hero", as one does. Again, just a little thing made for fun, with little intention of being polished or perfected. This WAS very fun to do, with a theme I'm very guilty of loving myself lol
Explanation on story changes for those curious will be listed last in here.
WHAT'S GOING ON IN THIS VIDEO?
Laridae, the girl with drape-like wings, wanders an abandoned (haunted) lab, searching for someone. This someone is Volt, who is the girl with the mohawk, and a bunch of robotics attached to her. She's the antagonist to Laridae, the two having been close friends in the past. Volt seeks revenge on Laridae, blaming her for who she has become.
Volt had taken over this haunted area after killing its previous robot ghost leader. The ghosts, who used to be pretty mild in attitude and had blue color schemes, became intensely aggressive after Volt's energy had taken over. The mannequin-faced robot, Virus, was Volt's own creation when her spiral to villainy started.
Laridae is able to come back from being dead, which is what is being depicted after she gets shocked and the background changes to black. Volt is revealed to be able to intercept her as she attempts to come back to; so Laridae, literally, is not even safe in death.
MAIN STORY CHANGES
Volt is COMPLETELY changed. She now serves as a deuteragonist in the story, and the corruption that leads her to attach robotics to herself never happens.
There is no haunted lab, no ghosts, and no Virus. Light, who was the previous leader to the lab in this animatic, had recently been entirely reworked as well, which led to everything else depicted here ceasing to exist.
Laridae's powers have been updated, and her escaping death as in this video is no longer a part of her character.

I'm not quitting animation by any means - just trying to be able to make time for it.
Thank you to people interested in my characters and this story! The positive reactions to my characters so far has been huge encouragement to push it further and work harder on making sure it'll be one I can be very proud of down the line.
