I cry many times in my little world over this great and blessed nation. I am one who had experience the good times in Nigeria, I am in my 60s. A new Nigeria will be birthed.
A new Nigeria will be birthed when we pull down (that is, delegitimize) the colonial 1999 Unitary Constitution, and put in its place fresh Constitutional protocols/Arrangements as proposed by the real owners and Constituent members of Nigeria, through the Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self Determination (NINAS). Thanks
Dr. Apoki, Dele Farotimi owns a youtube channel like you and gives lectures every Sunday by 9a.m. usually, but last Sunday’s was 10a.m. Nigerian time. Thank you, sir, for being a source of motivation for all sane Nigerians.
Dele Farotimi is light and truth in the midst of darkness (Nigeria). Those who thought his weeping was because he was defeated are blind to the reason he wept. Darkness can not defeat light, and lies can't defeat the truth.
Well analyzed Sir; the man (Dele Farotimi) wasn't weeping because he was touched about how Nigerians responded to his punitive abduction/detention. The man wept about the giant (Nigeria) had been "emasculated" because they've allow themselves to be so divided. So sad. So unfortunate. 😢
From what is going on in this country , we definitely do not have a country. Dele is crying for us to realise ourselves and to have a country and become citizens.
That's it.... I commented under someone comment who wrote Nigeria is far better than being a third class citizen in another country while in your own country Nigeria you or we are 2nd 3rd class in OUR own country. Shame upon all those evil men in politics.
But for a few men and women who still struggle for the new country, I would have forgotten about Nigeria. They didn't field Osibanjo nor allow Obi's win because their interest is not in creating a working egalitarian country. Dele wept because he has been pointing at the foolishness in upholding our fault lines for years. He posited the need for us to come together and take on our common enemy: those who continue to destroy the country. May God continue to bless you Dr Apoki for the work that you do.
Dr Appki, you are the Dele Farotimi we have around us , your love for this country is overwhelming,so painful Nigerians don't love themselves as much as you activist loved Nigerians,so disheartening, you guys are my idols and mentors
Thank you, Dr Some of us who knew Nigeria when everything was right would be concerned about where it is heading now. The lights are now dimmed with human values changed. With words from people like you, I think I can still reconsider my lost hope for the country.
Thanks Dr Charles, I'm always encouraged whenever the concerns voices of Nigeria speaks. May God protect you and yours from the wicked and unreasonable men. More wisdom and grace.
Thank you, Dr . Apoki for this wonderful exposition of Dele's weeping for Nigeria. It is very clear. May God save Nigeria from the imminent calamity portrayed by the unfortunate, visible, ugly Nigeria situation. Hope envisaged.
God bless you sir. Health and spirits belong UNALLOYED to ONLY THE SELFISH MAN. Dele has a unique FORESIGHT. We never stop weeping at the imagination of the future of this country Sir. BALABLU! BULABA!!
Hate as a policy consumes all including the perpetrators. Now Nigeria is harvesting the fruits of hatred, injustice and war. There’s no choice concerning consequences. It’s a fallout of actions and inactions and must come to be. Adieu Nigeria
You are always on point dear Dr. And only those who lack intellectual insight would see the weeping of a strong minded person as weakness. It heavily breaks the heart to see that a huge mass of people you love, cannot see the cause of their misery which is right in front of them, and then walk blindly into it and embrace it. They fail to see how unintelligent they are to be easily divided along many faults by the so called smart adversary for their own gains and at the detriment or misery of the less smart loved ones.
I agree. Theodore or Franklin Roosevelt said " When tyranny becomes a law, rebellion becomes a duty". But it has to be denominated in patriotism, good citizenship and broadband unity. We need to love ourselves, be law abiding, less covetous and end ungodly competition amongst ourselves.
Everyone is calling and clamouring for revolution but no one is ready to lead it. Don't stay abroad and be calling for revolution. I suggest that you come to Nigeria and register to get your PVCs so that you can vote in the next election. If you believe that your vote will not count but others do, then they will win and all you will have left is to be shouting that elections are rigged. rigged..rigged.
...in your roll call of men and women of valour .. you missed MPC man Paulo's corner.. these be the ones and many more travailing in the media space for a new Nigeria.
Not all men who cry love their country o. Dino Melaye once cried, Ayodele Fayose also once cried but the difference with Dele Farotimi's tears is that it is borne out of pure love for the system that is nailing him.
So Nigerians still think that an Individual or individuals rather a total system overhaul will bring the change we seek. Nigerian elites are very funny
Yes! Mr. Dele Farotimi, SAN (Senior Accused of Nigeria) indeed loves humanity. He is a very good and noble fella. But it should be made clear that Farotimi did not weep because "he is a citizen," for he has repeatedly, time and again, maintained that "he is not a citizen." Let us take him at his word that no ordinary Nigerian is a citizen. The point in closing? Farotimi wept, not because he is a citizen, but for the reckoning that he has finally come to terms that Nigeria CANNOT be redeemed, and will never EVER be redeemed. 😭! The truth is that 40 years ago, I also wept for Nigeria, not only because of the love I had for Nigeria, but because I knew then, just as I am still very certain today that there is absolutely no hope for the contraption. Prophecy will be fulfilled. Nigeria will die for Africa and the Black people around the globe to be free. And only God gets the glory of Nigeria's disintegration.
The problem with Nigeria is the constitution we operate. Except we go back to the 1963 constitution of parliamentary/Regional system of governance, nothing will work in this country. If you like bring Obama, Donald Trump or Peter Obi, they will fail with this type of constitution Nigeria is operating. The other quicker option to liberate this country is to remove the appointment of INEC chairman / REC and Chief Justice of the Nation totally from the presidency. How do you expect an away team to win a football match when it is the home team that appoint and pays the referees and match officials
You confused me sir.I thought I saw him cry for the sudden death of the INEC chairman. First confusion why cry for the man who created the situation that tried to destroy him. So why should he weep. May be you are right.
Sir with due respect Nigeria is a fraud, the highest for that matter British empire. Divide it and see the progress that will come. Otherwise more people go cry.
@pastorpastor4893. Nigeria is like a big cake. Cut it into small bits the ingredients in the big cake will also be in the small units. There is evil at the family level, the village level up to the governors.
Only grave idiots believe the Nigeria we dreamt is safe with current idiots in power today. Top to bottom, military, law enforcement, national security of today are peopled by idiots. Quote me.
I dont understand Charles Apoki. If Buhari distroyed Nigeria, that does not invariably mean that Tinubu should follow suit. Can you give empirical data of Nigerian population? The likes of you pampered Nigeria to these senseless in Nigeria today At your age, what have you done for the country that your generation benefited from so immersly. Nigeria is not one county and therefore should embrace Federalism to be able to keep it together
Why do you always think that people are talking bad about you whenever you're speaking. It sounds like a guilty conscience, go straight and talk your things without minding what people are talking
Dr. Apoki, Dele wept because he is fast becoming suicidal but you failed to recognised it or you pretended not to know. He has experienced the life inside Ekiti prison and it is not pretty, in fact it is harsh. Dele knows that the prison might be his new address for up to 2 years except and I hope he has evidence to prove that Afe Babalola compromised the Supreme Court. Rally to get him a good lawyer to fight his criminal case in Ekiti state. If you want to be comparing Dele to Jesus Christ you may continue to do so and it is neither here nor there.

You people should stop blaspheming just because of followers. WHAT did voices do. Wayo. Everybody including you and Farotimi are just making money at the expense of the poor masses of this country and they think you are helping them.

The youths should chase all these criminals out of the country and fix their country.
Fact. But as DF said, we need good citizenship and broadband unity to achieve that.
There must be madness from the youths FIRST if not these criminals will destroy thier future beyond repair
