My mother is from Cordoba. The Mezquita will always have a special place in my heart. It is so beautiful and peaceful inside. The unique Andalusian style is so beautiful. We spent our summers in Spain ( from France) and every summer we would spend time visiting the Mezquita.
I hv been to all 4 places. Watching this is like revisiting all those places again. I live in the Netherlands as well so I understand how you feel. "Succes" .
I did this same route few years ago with my older son. We started in Madrid, and after Toledo we took the train to Sevilla, and from there Cordoba, Gibraltar, Malaga and Granada, heading then to Barcelona and back to Madri. I think, as I said in a previous message, that you should consider relocating to either Spain or Portugal ! Warmer and more comforting David !
Hey Marcio - Niceee, wow that sounded like an amazing trip (so many places!). Oh relocating to Spain or Portugal-I have and am considering that for the future...for the future =) You're in Sao Paulo right? I just visited a friend (from Sao Paulo) few days ago here in Netherlands, and we were talking about his trip back home in November! I would love to visit one day
All these cities in Spain are amazing. I’ve been there last November and I’m still in the process of uploading my travel videos on my own travel channel. Your video inspired me to do better and keep on going. Thanks for this great video, keep it up 👍
Thanks! Yeah Spain is a beautiful place…I’ll be back for sure. Glad it inspired you and your comment inspired me! Keep going, I realized it’s always nice to look back on (a video) vs having a million clips sitting in my phone that I will never look at…and it could inspire others too! Happy new year
Hey there love your video! I’m going to Seville mid - late December for a couple of days was there anything especially Christmas/winter related there you visited?
Thanks Josephina! Oh I can't believe this was like what...almost 2 years ago?? Time flies... Hm...well the sun was the best part of Seville hahaha (especially coming from the Netherlands). Not winter-related but when I was in Seville...there were some processions that were happening...but Seville is just beautiful =)
Great video!! What was that cafe in Granada that overlooked the Alhambra? Was it in group tour? I am heading there in a few weeks and want to soak up all the views and experiences I can!
Hi Monthida - aw thanks! Camera gear... I use mainly my iPhone 12 when I'm out and about (everything was filmed using iPhone). The video quality on smartphones nowadays is top-notch Otherwise, I do have a Sony A73 with 24-105 lens when I film at home. Buen camino! David
Hi David, appreciate your video here! was wondering how many days did you spend in the 4 cities in total? Am thinking of doing an Andalusian tour myself
Thanks! Hm well I spent almost a month because I also "worked remotely" there too. But I would spend more time in Sevilla/Granada. I only spent a day in Cordoba. Malaga is a bigger beach town...and you can base yourself there to do day trips.
Im planning a trip to malaga and granada on mid January next year but am hesitant because of the weather (actually thinking of going to tenerife instead). Is the weather still enjoyable? Do hotels provide adequate heating so its not too cold inside? I am especially worried about granada
OMG! So refreshing!,so marvellous!!!! You literally lived my dream! My "winter escape" was in Belgium .. ahaha.. hello-there-depression... missed me?! ) Hit me hard on the head next time if I dare thinking of buying tickets to the North again during the rainy season :-)
Hi David, funny I did exactly the same tour around 25 years ago when I was around your age. Flying to Malaga and visit the same cities with the high speed train. Especially Seville is a city where I could live, I thought in my younger years. But then somethimes live choose for you, I felt in love some years later with a Swiss girl and living there since then. Amsterdam, London and Paris are certainly more exithing cities in terms of international community, high culture and economics, but the life style in Spain is very attractive. Living more outside, and so much beauty and history. I only couldn't live there in the summer: its much to hot for my northern skin. I think what we most miss in the winter are the blue skies, because I feel the same happiness when I go up in the mountains here in wintertime. Fog lakes they called them, if you are up over 1500 meters and see the clouds beneath you, that keeps the lower areas so depressing greay. And although colder, the sun and, being out in nature makes me feel so much better. Stay healthy and I wish you the best for 2022.
Hey Ronnie and happy new year! Oh wow...where in Switzerland are you now? That would actually be a dream for me to live there too one day...I really miss the mountains. Yeah and being out in nature just makes me feel so much more alive. I'd love to be able to spend winters in a place like Spain but not the entire year.
@@hidavidwen Better late then never reaction :) I am actually going to Andalucia again for 4 weeks this winter and came again on your nice posting. I live in the area of Zürich/Basel.
