Solving the #Worldle for Thursday and Friday, March 3/4. Worldle is a wordle-like game where you have to guess the country. Check out my channel for more puzzle solving!
The one for today is actually just wrong. Those islands are now under Mauritius territory, and I knew that, so I guessed Mauritius, but they said it was incorrect. Mauritius acquired them a few years back
I don't think that's true. The UN tried to have Diego Garcia given from UK/US control to Mauritius, but the UK has not rescinded its claim to the islands, and the military base they operate is still there.
As others have pointed out, the islands are deemed to be rightful Mauritius territory by the UN, but the UK has NOT given them to Mauritius and still claims them. Thus, they are disputed
I swear to you Worldle is usually easier than that. No way would I ever know this, and I don’t think 99.99% of people know it either. Never heard of it in my life, so don’t worry! I looked it up too lol
This one was truly brutal...I remember starting out wanting to guess British Indian Ocean Territory and thinking "surely they wouldn't expect people to know that..." Then it told me 98% for Maldives and due South and I was like "son of a..."
The long thin outline is an atoll (not an island), horseshoe shapes are volcanic islands, straight-lined borders are African colonial countries. Tips from my geography degree. I knew Diego Garcia because it’s a military base.
Try: globle, it is another geographic puzzle where you have to guess the mystery country daily. When you guess a country you will see how close you are to the mystery one using a color code. Very fun!
The second one has a military base on it that US and allies use for staging and stopover when flying across that ocean. Trying not to spoil it too much.
Hello. I'm from the Maldives. I'm amazed you even knew my country existed. Btw, as far as my knowledge goes, the island is shaped like that cause it is actually an atoll where the outer edges of the ring is dry land that forms into islands. Most of the islands in Maldives are on the outer edges of atolls, but they are not connected all the way around. I suppose the British Indian Ocean Territory is an exception. Love your videos.
Trust me, you had no way of knowing what the hell ‘British Indian Ocean Territory’ was. I’ve played this game for the last 2 weeks, not missing a single day, and I had to look this one up too. Congrats on getting Panama.
The problem with this game is that all territories under the UKs protection are branded separately. Identifying Diego Garcia, Jersey and Guernsey was awfully difficult.
The British Indian Ocean Territory is actually where the .io extension is located! It's the Indian Ocean version of .us or .uk website domains and it's used on so many online games since almost nobody lives there.
Today’s accepted Coco Islands as a correct answer as well which was odd, especially because when I put in Sri Lanka it pointed me southwest when Coco Islands are southeast from it. Very weird one today but give it more shots and it’s a lot better usually
The second country was clearly an atoll. There is no country that snakes around the borde of another country like that. And yes, I did get to the Maldives on that one as well, and then it was google maps.
Dude I literally am a 7th grader who knows nothing about geography looked at that and said Panama! I then thought that was the name of the place in hunger games🤦
The problem with Worldle is that it gives away the country shape right from the start, that's like if Wordle showed the meaning of the word straight away. If you're very good at recognising countries from their shape; this game will be easy. Thankfully, there is an option to rotate or hide the country. Personally, I just hide it.
I'm playing this without seeing the country shape so I made it a little bit difficult for myself so I was really really surprised that this area made it to the Worldle database. It's not a sovereign country.
I actually got this one, I started typing in India and it popped up as an option. I knew it wasn’t actually India so I tried it, and it was right. Never heard of it in my life
that was definitely one of the most obscure ones possible
it's not even a country, I learned it as 197 countries, because the definition of a country is so broad
I somehow got it by searching "Indian" because I figured it might have it in the name
@@RubyPiec no read the rules, it’s territories aswell
@@charlesdaloz2547 I did the exact same thing
@@RubyPiec the typing bar says you can enter countries and territories so it’s still valid
The one for today is actually just wrong. Those islands are now under Mauritius territory, and I knew that, so I guessed Mauritius, but they said it was incorrect. Mauritius acquired them a few years back
Yeah when I googled it after somehow just getting it right it said it’s disputed
I guessed Mauritius then IOT. Only reason I know of it is because it has an amazing flag and I’m a flag fanatic.
I don't think that's true. The UN tried to have Diego Garcia given from UK/US control to Mauritius, but the UK has not rescinded its claim to the islands, and the military base they operate is still there.
Claiming something is one thing, acquiring it is another. Ask Argentina.
As others have pointed out, the islands are deemed to be rightful Mauritius territory by the UN, but the UK has NOT given them to Mauritius and still claims them. Thus, they are disputed

We all did.
I don’t look up countries
this is probably the only one I'm good at
This is probably the one I’m worst at!!!
I instantly yelled Panama at the start
@@Sir_Gom_bOach same lmao
have you tried globle?
@@phlonoxy Seen it haven't tried it yet tho
This one was truly brutal...I remember starting out wanting to guess British Indian Ocean Territory and thinking "surely they wouldn't expect people to know that..."

I REMEMBER THIS ON!!!! I was like…. “what the heck is that! What country or territory looks like a foot?!” I was angry lol!
@@isaiah_ig *italy has left the chat*
@@Creeperbreh oh... XD
I thought it was Tuvalu 🇹🇻 😭

Good tips. Thanks from my engineering degree!
How can I play worldle
Can you share a link
@@babyyoda5074 you can just look it up on google and the first result should be worldle.
@@liculle yeah I got it, thnx
Try: globle, it is another geographic puzzle where you have to guess the mystery country daily. When you guess a country you will see how close you are to the mystery one using a color code. Very fun!
I agree
Yes it’s more fun because I know the shape of most countries
@@mathguy37 globle doesnt need you to know the borders
Woah, that one’s way better
Did the globle today and my guess was spot on, guessed DRC and that's what it was
I will say, today was one of the most difficult worldles ever.
It really was :/
I actually got it which suprised me. If its an african country that isnt very known i usually dont get it
What was it
@@adeshkantha7034 It was the one in the video, the British Indian Ocean Territory.
I knew the name but I never knew the shape of the country
"I know this is cheating, probably.." - you think.. lol...
The second one has a military base on it that US and allies use for staging and stopover when flying across that ocean. Trying not to spoil it too much.
Thats how my dad knew it lol
That one for today was obscure.

The problem with worldle for me is I just know on the first guess every time. That’s why I like globle better as a geography based one.
In the settings you can turn off images
@@MayorVideo oh ok
Yea, I played it today and I got it on the first try lol.
This one caught me off guard. I thought they were only countries, so I went Maldives, Seychelles, Mauritius then wasted the rest of my guesses
Was guessing Maldives and Seychelles but didn't even know that existed til today
The problem is that this place isn't an independent country.
Thanks for including me in the vid I saw mine
the second one could clearly only be an island
I guessed Mauritius then IOT. Only reason I know of it is because it has an amazing flag and I’m a flag fanatic.
Yesss omg I am so glad you are trying this, there is also a game like this called globle it’s like the same as Worldle
YAY I WAS WAITING FOR THIS
Trust me, you had no way of knowing what the hell ‘British Indian Ocean Territory’ was. I’ve played this game for the last 2 weeks, not missing a single day, and I had to look this one up too. Congrats on getting Panama.
im from panama
My social studies teacher lets us do worldle in class, and it's pretty fun tbh
The second one literally looks like a giant foot 😂
It's British Indian Ocean territory Diego Garcia
@@pathos_musicI have watched the video so I now know that but thanks anyway :)
Everyone else: legitimate guesses for the last one
Me: fancy foot!
Bro yall can't lie, that second one was a whole ass foot 🦶
omg I didn't know this exists !!!!! I need to play it
U chose a good one to start on 😂😂
The problem with this game is that all territories under the UKs protection are branded separately. Identifying Diego Garcia, Jersey and Guernsey was awfully difficult.
next do globle it shows a globe and you have to guess countries and the closer you are the more red the country becomes
My first guess was Diego Garcia but that doesn't exist as a territory
This type of island is called (coral) atoll and it arises by the subsidence of a volcanic island.
i got that last one by just typing indian ocean into the system, and it just gave me the answer
When I did March fourth I had to look at a map and approximate where it was from the distance from other countries
I got Panama immediately
The British Indian Ocean Territory is actually where the .io extension is located! It's the Indian Ocean version of .us or .uk website domains and it's used on so many online games since almost nobody lives there.
reminds me of the tokelau and tuvalu thingy
I played this today, got it on the first try!
you should definitely try globle as it shows you how far away you are on an actual globe
I like this one better than Wordle. I also like Heardle; this one gives you a certain portion of an intro to a song.
That 2nd one really looks like a leg and I thought you were doing a gag and gonna day the country was "your moms foot" or something 😂
this is the first time i’ve seen my boy not complete a challenge
Oh my dad plays this all the time lol
Sometimes It gives uninhabited islands that are super tiny
No way i had the exact same thought process with the first one.
I got panama first try becuase I recognized it right away but didn't get this one because it was so obscure
This is the only one that I'd be good at lol
I didn't get the British Indian Territory one, because I haven't heard of it.
As soon as I saw the first one I knew it was Panama
I didn’t know that there were territories as well as countries.
I'm pretty good at globle you should try it
Also I've never heard if it either and pretty good with geography
i thought this was was argentina cus i didn’t realize it wasn’t just the outline and that was actually the shape
The first one was easy but the second one was very obscure
I was so mad at the British Indian territory one . I lost my streak to it.
Same here.
Scott: I told you I wasn’t very good at geography
Me: idek what the Maldives are 😫
Are you going to continue WORLDLE and also there is another version of it and its called GLOBLE
I also got it at the third one without cheating tho :)
I got Ukraine on the first worldle i tried 😳
yeah lmao
IIRC it was the first or the second day of the war. I think that was intentional from the game author.
Today’s accepted Coco Islands as a correct answer as well which was odd, especially because when I put in Sri Lanka it pointed me southwest when Coco Islands are southeast from it. Very weird one today but give it more shots and it’s a lot better usually
lmao as a geography human (it is imbedded into my skin) i was screaming at my phone
Thanks John Oliver, I know that is not the outline of a dog
I got both in 3 guesses, but the last one I just got because it was as a suggestion when I typed India.
I always use a world map for these lmao
I think you will like globle a bit better, although this one is fun as well. Todays was obscure
The British Indian Ocean territory kinda look like a foot 😂
What's the link to Worldle? Btw Great video
You should try globle, it's like worldle but with a globe
I always get it first try. I love geography
Try Globle it shows an actual world map and it tells you how far away you are too! It selects a random country
i guessed japan immediately lol
after the “afhganistan” i guessed it
Proud to say I would’ve gotten the Panama one in one
Today is was guernsey, this place near France that i never heard of
You should try globle!
is no one talking about how the second one looks like a leg with a giant foot
You should try Globle
It kinda looks like a pachycephalusaurus’s head is in Panama. Oh, also that foot.
Can’t even find worldle, whenever I search it up wordle just pops up
Worldle would be better if each guess revealed more of the country. If you are good at geography it’s super easy to get this in one guess.
Maybe that can be the hard mode
This is where all the .io games come from
I guessed it right when I saw the thumbnail but I do look at maps waaay to much so
Three good words ratio, mends, and lucky
2nd one looked like a food
Yay👍🐧
Well done
I think this would be better if it was just countries
You should try globle if you haven’t.
You can which direction is the sea if you spot deltas
The second country was clearly an atoll. There is no country that snakes around the borde of another country like that. And yes, I did get to the Maldives on that one as well, and then it was google maps.
British Indian Ocean Territory? I've learnt something new today
Actually a lot of islands are shaped like that, they're called atolls. They're caused by volcanoes
What is the link to that website?
Dude I literally am a 7th grader who knows nothing about geography looked at that and said Panama! I then thought that was the name of the place in hunger games🤦
You should try globle
Todays was really hard. I tried Globle and got it in one tho
The problem with Worldle is that it gives away the country shape right from the start, that's like if Wordle showed the meaning of the word straight away. If you're very good at recognising countries from their shape; this game will be easy.
Thankfully, there is an option to rotate or hide the country. Personally, I just hide it.
you should try globle! it’s way similar to wordle, and you guess a random country and the hotter the color is the closer to the country you are
I knew it was panama for the first one
You should try GLOBLE you'll like it
You should do globele it's the same idea
I'm playing this without seeing the country shape so I made it a little bit difficult for myself so I was really really surprised that this area made it to the Worldle database. It's not a sovereign country.
Yeah, today was an island chain off the coast of Normandy that obviously wasn't a country. Really hard to guess.
I actually got this one, I started typing in India and it popped up as an option. I knew it wasn’t actually India so I tried it, and it was right. Never heard of it in my life
I got the first one in one try
Yayyyy
