      Yeah, but for most commercial gyms it’s a liability thing. It’s safer to have the lower weight at the top just in case something falls. Plus the distribution of weight might mess with the frame of the rack.

      I think SLDL would be more similar due to little bend at the knees. Also on GM and SLDL the bar gets little bit in front of you, so it goes a bit further from center mass of gravity. On RDL the bar kinda goes up and down and you hinge much more than doing Stiff legged

    3:49 I find that cambered bars fight this (but I am nowhere near your #s fwiw).. i use a spider bar (cambered + ssb) on good mornings (and box squats) and I never experience that shift to tension trying to go to lumbar toward bottom of rep (as I get with straight bar / ssb on GMs).. which isn't to say one should only use cambered, but just another variation for toolkit

  • @offchan
    @offchan 5 лет назад

    One thing I want to say is about simplicity of the movement. You like to say that it's quite simple but it's actually not for newbies. I did not realize that as well for many things that seem very simple to me. E.g. tapping correctly on a phone touch screen. I take for granted that it's very simple to press on a button, but I tried teaching my grandma to do the same and she made it look very hard. Sometimes she presses too long so it triggers repeated button press. Sometimes she presses with too big area so it covers other buttons too. She makes the same mistake over and over. Simple things can be difficult.
