Running crawfish traps in the Spillway (Atchafalaya Basin). Very low water, but still got it done! Was a great day!

I love your Louisiana accents!
Me, too! Love their accents! I'm from south GA, so I have a drawl...their accents are better. I could listen to them all day.
What gorgeous country. The drone shots really gave perspective to the vastness of the area. I never knew how crayfish were harvested! Thanks!
Agree! The drone shots show why I’d never drag myself into that swamp without some local guidance. A great place to find yourself lost...!
Beautiful place.

Thank you so much!
Beautiful bayou ~ paradise!
ABSOLUTELY !!!
I meant to tell Tara that I made some of her dipping sauce and omg it was SO GOOD...I can't get crawfish in Tennessee, but I boiled up some Cajun shrimp, mushrooms and broccoli for some of my Kentucky friends and they think I'm the cat's meow now 😅❤ They gave me some homemade moonshine in return but dat's gonna have to be saved as a regift for Christmas or something! I tried moonshine one time only when I first moved to Tennessee; sitting around a fire pit drinking apple pie moonshine, it was smooth and delicious!! I remember everything until I got up to pee 😂😂
We use that sauce for all of our boiled and fried seafood! Goes good with crackers too. That apple pie moonshine is delicious. Goes down good but hits hard later.
Ohhh man that looks so good!!! I'm from NY State, but I lived in Lafayette for 8 years. I been having crawfish withdrawals since 1986 when we moved back home!! 😂 You can get them here periodically, but they are certainly not as good. Thanks for sharing 😁
Thank you! 🦞
Dam, did y’all eat all those crawfish??? ….Enjoy 👍😎
We ate more than we should have 🤣
Keith and Tara, I live in the Pacific NW and am new to your incredible channel. Your videos so darn interesting, entertaining, and I just flat enjoyed this crawfish video soô much!

I was watching Peter Santenello's Louisiana miniseries thanks to you and Tara. They are fascinating to watch. I'm still absorbing all the history lessons from the folks on the shows...Those crawfish looked delicious. I remember at a time when they were sold at 30 cents a pound when bought at the dock back in the days. Thanks for the memories, Keith. It's so reminiscing.
Hey buddy! Believe it or not but there was a 20 acre crawfish pond behind my house that my grandpa use to farm. We still have the scale that was used to weigh the crawfish. That was over 50 years ago. Thank you for hanging in there with us. Always enjoy seeing your comments! 🦞

This was FANTASTIC!!! Thanks for taking us along, for the cooking lessons and showing us how to eat the crawfish. YUM! YUM! You've made me sooo hungry!
Thank you so much for running the traps for mud-bugs. The other day I commented in one of your recent video's about how I thought the beautiful area would be possibly a good place to trap and I couldn't wait to watch this one!!!! The food looked so GOOD, made me hungry just watching ya'll. LOL at trying to pronounce Worcestershire, I get tired of fighting it so I took to just calling it Rooster hair years ago. Thanks for another great adventure, looking forward to more expeditions. Lay-Tuh!
Brother you are living your best life. We love watching your adventures with you and Tara and Drake and now to meet Tara’s Brother that’s a bonus.
I stopped after Tara made some sauce and made me a dab. That'd be good on anything. Hey Terry enjoyed that four wheeling in the boat. And thank you Mudbugs for showing up.
what struck me the most, was how absolutely verdant your life is. even an average day, at low water? your world is exploding in life, and it provides you with such an amazing bounty. thank you for sharing!

Hey Keith... All you Louisiana Cajuns are awesome... I'm from Michigan I wish I'd been born in the bayous... Keep doing what you doing.. love y'all!
We are from the U.P. too. Those are not our people up there. Too nasty and jaded. Especially folks our age.
Culture man, no one has it like the folks that survive off the land.
The closer we live to our natural state, the happier we are. 💥
I truly enjoy your videos. Thank goddess you still exist. I would love to come and fish with you guys. Maybe someday. Keep on loving your life. You are truly an inspiration in this crazy world. God Bless.

Keith your absolutely right about a tough year crawfishing. Spillway and ponds struggling big time. It's the life though and can't get it out the blood. See Miss Tara making the dip and not using BLUE PLATE MY-NEZ! jj. Another awesome video and it brings back so many memories for me.
We both like Kraft! Sorry! 🤣 Always appreciate your feedback! I knew the kraft would get some reactions. Much love!

Good way of showing how those crawfish get caught before they hit the market.they looked tasty. Catch y’all next time 👍✌️🛥🎣
Heck Yeah!👍🏼🏁🏁
Ain’t no better life than Louisiana water ways 👊 awesome video
Southerners are such hard working and honest people.
Being southern, I like to think that’s still the rule rather than exception, but these true bayou Cajuns are a special breed. It’s in their nature to treat people with incredible old time hospitality, and there’s a genuineness about them. They tend to treat everyone the same, regardless of class or prosperity. You could be the CEO or the janitor, and you’re going to sit at the same table and eat the same incredible food. They are a hard working and independent people too, yes. I’ll tell you this though. Don’t go down there and disrespect them. There was a saying once, something along the lines of “you mess with the wrong Cajun in Baton Rouge, by the time you get to Lafayette, his friends are all waiting for you”.
@melodymakermark AMEN to that! If Northern people come with respect and kindness and honesty they'll be treated in kind. But you come with an attitude or disrespect, especially if you disrespect a woman, you will get an ass whooping and might be left out in the swamp overnight for an attitude adjustment. 😂😂😂 They'll come get ya in the morning, but one night alone in the swamp will definitely humble you real quick. 😂
And if northerners show up pretending to be a gender they’re biologically not, they’re given directions to the nearest insane asylum.
@MyToesintheSand I am A northerners. You southerners are very silly to think you rate better.
@mialily206, “I am a northerner”
I’m very sorry. None of us have a choice regarding when and where we’re born. Hang in there. You’ll manage.
Another great video! Them mudbugs looked delicious. I’ve never used OJ.
It‘s Crawfish-30 😊 in Germany and there is nothing better to start my week with a new Episode of Dat Louisiana Life.
During my time in Louisiana I learned to eat dem mudbucks the right way & to love them.

Very rarely will "we" ever see how our favorite crawdads get to our plate! Thanks SO much! (added)....the beauty that is in "your world" can't be even described. It's a world unto itself! So Blessed to be able to see this 'cause otherwise - wouldn't be possible!
That's our way of life in south Louisiana it don't get no better
A lot of work goes into getting the crawfish. People hutch about the price; you go get them then maybe you’ll understand why the price. Worth every penny and I’m glad to pay for them and support you guys. 😊👍
Fine mess of crawfish! More good times!

Dang, that was so cool to watch. Loved it. Those crawdads are so good to eat. You have to have a bunch is the problem.
They are expensive to buy where I live in ALABAMA. Man, I love them. Been a long time that I had them. I can't afford them anymore.
Wish I was there. Funny that people call them different names. Crawfish, Mudbugs, Crayfish, Crawdads. Sure, there are more names. I call.

Great to see so much swamp forest still intact❤
Awesome! Those crawfish look fabulous
Just watched you on Peter Santenello's channel and came over and Subscribed.
Measure??? What’s that?! I hate it when someone asks for my gumbo recipe or my shrimp salad recipe. That means they want exact measurements. Geez!!!!!🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️. Of course, I do realize that’s one of the biggest compliments a cook can receive!
Thank you for another great video love to see family so good to see
I've been binge watching since yesterday. He looks a little bit like George Clooney. I'm really enjoying this family.
Eating craw fish is on my bucket list
Yummy meal. You're giving away all your recipes. A cookbook would be a good merch idea, even if it's a booklet. Fun to watch your channel.
Fascinating to see how crawfishing is done. I lived near Picayune, MS back in the 80's (20 min from Slidell). Used to go to Slidell Mall often. Bought Van Halen's 5150 cassette when it first came out, there! Then saw them live one of first tour stops in Biloxi. OOps I digress. Anyway, I learned to appreciate crawfish, catfish, Mardi Gras, and lots more during that time, but I never knew how they actually caught the mudbugs! Well...other than dipnetting ditches and the time of year when the crawfish crossed a main road, and people just pulled over to the side with bushels. Thanks for showing us all that (mad respect, Terry!) and how to cook them right. ---AND the all important secret sauce! Super cool.
Love your videos and yalls great attitude! Always been fascinated by the Bayou lifestyle probably since CCR's Born on a Bayou has always been one of my favorite songs.😃 I'll keep watching what you share with us! Thanks!
I heard of your site on a Peter Santenello segment on RUclips. I love the simple but busy life the land provides y’all, so I’m enjoying watching it all. Keep’m coming and thank you for sharing it to us.
Not worried at all!!!Be driving through the swamp in 5 days!!!
Mushrooms took me for a thinking. wife and I are watching from TN. Might have moved to the swamp
Coouuu dat’s a lot of garlic powder lol
Gatta love the Worceshishaaa!!!!
Thanks for finally getting into crawfish, I mentioned to you a little while back about you all not making crawfish gumbo at that time you mentioned crawfish was to expensive, glad you hooked up with Tara’s brother, keep him as a beloved family member because To me gumbo is not gumbo without crawfish, my son here in middle Georgia orders live crawfish shipped to his house every year from Louisiana and what is left over I peel them and make gumbo or crawfish étouffée , and when I can’t find crawfish I buy it at Walmart, making sure it’s the frozen tail meat from Louisiana and not from China, for my gumbo, and when I travel to San Antonio Texas from Georgia My wife and I always stop at Louisiana markets on the way to pickup Cajun products along the way , also thanks for running your drone out into your area 👍👍😀🙏
