187 was on another level sonically and story telling wise
been saying since 2015 when this mixtape released that maxo was that dude to be watching out for.weird to see all these people new to him now glad he finally getting the recognition he deserves.Maxo187 is my favorite project of his everything he has released after is still really dope.

AQGOAT24 Travis doesn’t have a traditional Houston sound so I think it definitely worked out for the best that it happened that way
I’ve been to one of his shows where Grannies and Fetti turned the whole crowd up. At a young age, it’s his story telling + beat selection that sets him apart. I understand Rod’s point about his voice and flow being constant on this album and how that could get old.
Maxo is hella talented and consistently drops good projects, its crazy to me how many people haven’t caught on yet. I like how he can embrace the new wave sound but doesn’t have to and when he does it he still keeps it creative and original, and he can “actually rap”.

Glad y'all giving Maxo some shine, The Persona Tape and Maxo 187 was heavily slept on.
But idk Myke I feel like his other projects are equally as personal but that's just me. I dissect all his street tidbits, his song KKK struck a chord with me.

Maxo's been making moves for a while. 2 great underground tapes from 2015-2016. Bangers like Spike Lee, Clientele, Cell Boomin, Fetti. Was touring with Danny Brown in 2016. Had a great debut last year and he didn't flop with this new album, on the contrary he knocked it out of the park. Glad hes getting even more recognition. He shoulda been on XXL a long fucking time ago.
The "Campin Outside Your Crib Like Im buying Jordans" line was from the Hook on "3AM" with Schoolboy Q
First time I heard Meet Again I nearly cried. Beautiful track with a deep story that really hit me.

everyone that been down with Maxo early on knows that he ain't going to change his style/sound he is going to keep it real with that straight gutta.i highly recommend anyone new to the hype train check out his Maxo187 mixtape his best project by far in my opinion.

The way I see “Pray 2 the Dope” is almost as an epilogue to “Meet Again.” Meet Again is somber, but hopeful and upbeat in nature. Pray 2 the Dope is a bleak follow up. Similar to Lupe’s “Kick Push” 1 vs “Kick Push 2,” they mirror themes and melodies, though one is far more depressed than the other.

hov helped put together the album and sequence the tracks. you can tell the guidance helped with how it flows. blew me away after a first listen and i haven’t stopped since. first track is my fav, love 3am with Q as well. one of my fav albums this year

Maxo Kream has a following from MAXO#187 & Punken, which ended up on a lot of critics year end lists. I’m glad y’all enjoyed it, it’s definitely going on my year end list .
WOrd... I heard ‘Punkin’ last year it dropped and i felt like I found a hidden gem nobody knew about. “III3” last album was so good I didn’t listen to this junt cuz I didn’t want to ruin it haha this review was official!

In 2016, I went to see Danny Brown Atrocity Exhibition tour in Santa Cruz and Maxo Kream was opening act and at the end of the show I went to go get merch and was at the front of the line and this white kid next to me like 18 yrs old saw the maxo kream merch and said “who’s maxo kream?” and maxo kream was standing right in front of him talking with the dude at the merch counter and said “I’m maxo kream” intimidatingly and the kid was like oh fuck. It was hilarious

Maxo Is one of the best rappers out.
Maxo is in my all time rappers, been listening to him for a couple years now and he puts out nothing but fire. Maxo187, The Persona Tape, Punken and now this. This is my least favourite project from him tho, although it's still great. The stories are fantastic and lyrics in general, but the project didn't flow like some of his others. Can't really figure out why, but I doubt he won't improve himself further. That Travis Scott song was pretty bad tho, feels like Travis kinda phoned in the feature. She Live is the song of the summer tho, that beat is so good and him and Megan just deliver hilarious lyrics from front to back
agree 100% this is his weakest project but it's still really dope better than most albums that came out this year.i'd have to say his best project to me is Maxo187.i've been saying Maxo was that dude since 2015.people would always look at me like i said something really crazy when i would say Maxo was the dopest rapper out talking about that real life trap sh*t.weird to see all these new fans all talking about him, i'm glad Maxo finally getting the recognition he deserves.

In Houston we blew this guy off, but not gonna lie he’s definitely improved. All his shit used to sound the same cause he’s been in the Houston scene for awhile. This project was good for a more mainstream debut.
