I knew that modern boatbuilding wasn't really environmentally friendly, but 300 tons of emissions to make a 60 is crazy! What 11th Hour Racing is doing here is amazing, great stuff. Hopefully the industry follows. Also yet again, awesome shots of the new boat out screaming around, she looks fantastic!

It's really awesome for an organization to take on the sustainability responsibility for an industry. If you share who you are, you create relationships that grows your business and passion. It's inspiring. Thank you...

Did you use hamp fiber in the construction?

Not hemp, but we did use flax in 100kg of our non-structural components - such as the hatches, engine/battery covers, pad eyes, etc.

What happened to the old boat aka Hugo Boss?

We still have her! We'll be sailing with two boats in the Transat Jacques Vabre and then at the end of the year Benjamin Dutreux will take over as the new owner! Exciting racing ahead for our team with two boats 🔥

yes, it is kind of green washing for sure but it is a beginning. What if carbon fibre wil be not allowed anymore. Just flax? Hunt for records would be over but is it that bad?
