you can leave your bow and arrows equipped as well as sword and shield. you just use left and right pads to switch between bow or blade.
With bow and arrow, if you train and aim at head, you can one shot most enemies. Can be combined with skills to dogde. However it is quite hard to pull of against closed helmets. Congrats to 1000 subs.
Sir hans is in his room most of the time. After hunting, you can talk to him when you go up the stairs, along the wall, through the gaurd tower, he is around there somewhere. But careful, he might have some shenanigans for ya. He will challenge you to fight and win in the tournement... so practice heavily with Bernard. You two will have fun during the game though.
a mace or warhammer is great for armoured opponents, more so than blade. but definitely use shield as well, make sure to train heavily with Bernard on everything.

Yeah bro this is what happens when you streamline the main quest without training with bernard nor leveling up by payin them to teach you, not getting better armour, and not maintaining your armour. Is truth this game is hard but that fight with Runt shouldnt be that tough at this point in the game, you were def not high level enough for this fight, the fact you lose every clinch (meaning grapling when too up close) means your strength level is too low, gotta remember henry dont become a master swordsman after like 4 5 fights, gotta train brother. You made it out this time but i recomend doing side quests for a bit to level up cause them main quest keeps getting tougher. If training with Bernard is too boring for you try to get rich enough and paying him to level up, or join the tourney every time you can, its cheep to enter and is good practice, not to mention every win unlocks a sweet set of armour that Hanush gives you as a price. Good luck fam. As a side note, dont forget to faint as much as you can, you were doing it a lot before but didnt do it much with Runt, fainting is a good way to avoid getting insta countered. Im rootin for ya.

@@Fazolive For sure, there's plenty of good side content too, half of the charm of the game are the side quests. Lots of fighting, comedy, and interesting plotpoints.
@@Fazolive Also very important, you were saying you werent doing any damage even tho you were landing strikes, thats cause swords are not ideal against fully plated enemies, runt is wearing plate from neck to feet, cant cut thru steel fam, only atacks to the head would've been efective. against full plate you gotta bludgeon, with a mace/hammer/axe, basically knock em out and then kill em. If you really wanna stick with a sword find one with good piercing damage and stab away.
@@Fazolivealso make sure that when you do get in a clinch that you press either r2, r1, or L2. If you don’t press one of these buttons you’ll lose the clinch no matter what you strength stat is.
Reason he was losing them was because he wasn’t pressing anything during the clinches
There is a way to stealth kill people in this game just so you know. Once you get your stealth leveled up enough you can get the perk to stealth kill. You just have to have a dagger in your inventory once you get the perk and you can stealth kill instead of having to knock everyone out and go around killing them all after.
Yeah I ended up unlocking that in my last play through so definitely ready to try that out!
Learn to maintain the condition of your equipment by using repair kits or going to the armourer and paying for repairs. STOP going on missions with low health, hunger, and sleep.
Its honestly so frustrating watching you run around with broken kit and half a health/stam bar. You wonder why you keep getting wrecked... thats why.
Just completed this last night, and was relatively straightforward but think lot of that will be because I'm at level 13 with decent plate armour.
And smashed Jason Statham with a mace.
I reckon I'd have given up at level 8!

Yeah that quest with the witch potion is probably one of the weakest in the game if we exclude a few hilarious lines when Henry's pretending to be the devil in disguise and tripping balls seeing barn animals for some reason. At least it's over. I think the only other way is to watch from distance, not interfere and not get closer when they call out to you. Then it's just over, they head home and it's concluded without having to report anything to anyone.
The Merhojed disease quest is on a timer so you may have doomed those people since I see your next episode is in the bathhouse - but what can you do, it happens.

dont use shield, shield eat your stamina quickly
ehhhhh, maybe but it's better for defense than using a long sword. The thing you DON'T want to do is use a Long Sword + Shield, since a long sword is meant to use 2 hands sometimes, and that combination will make you swing slowly and do less damage.

Just so you know for some reason if you get some space between you and whoever you’re fighting when they lower their weapon and start running at you they always attack as soon as they get within range. I just finished my second play through of the game and noticed this. Once you see what I’m talking about it’s super easy to abuse so you can get master strikes off.
The way I tested it was by practicing with Captain Bernard. If you intentionally get in a clinch and press r2 to kick them back then immediately start back away the AI with just start running at you and attack as soon as they get close. Once you learn the timing it becomes super easy to get master strikes without just waiting for them to throw an attack.
You can also have a bow equip at the same time as a sword. You don’t have to manually swap in your inventory every time you just press right on the d-pad to pull your bow out
Ahh that’s very interesting
