This signing really fascinates me. It gives Chelsea a new tactical dimension. I think he will be an unique solution breaking down low blocks. Like really unique. First of all, his long passing is really really promising. You need excellence in that area to effectively keep the pressure on. What he gives us is faster ball movement into dangerous areas. You don’t have to find that 15 short passes to get that winger isolations down the wing, when you have players like Collwill, Enzo and now Veiga. Second of all, he is a proper threat from set pieces (you are toing to get lot of them against low blocks). He is super physical and a good header. He is another addition this summer that is tall and offers aerial threat (Bernardo Cueva must be loving life rn) One more reason I think he is more suited at breaking down low blocks has to do with his weaknesses. He is not a great 1v1 defender and has poor defensive positioning. He often rushes his tackles and gets bypassed easily. This can be costly against bigger teams with more possession. I just think his defensive style suits better pressing in the opponents half considering his impressive physical attributes and aerial dominance ( against long balls to attackers type of buildup especially). Here is the interesting thing. He doesn’t need to start. I can see him being subbed on for the last 15. minutes or so due to his passing and aerial threat if we are desperate to get a goal.
One thing that worries me tho is that we have no system fit Lb’s who are also good at positioning and minimazing defensive errors (looking at you Cucu and Veica).
The moment i heard "passes top players like Nicolas Jackson will really benefit from"that's weird There are many passes like these enzo had initiated only for Jackson to miss it Never trust Jackson for top 4 nor trophies
@@nnamdiokoye3357 he’s barely played at LB or CB. He doesn’t look like a defender who can work in midfield, he looks like a midfielder who may look good in midfield and at a long shot, in defence
I like how he Progresses the ball forward unlike some of the defenders we have just passing the ball sideways and backwards.
Gusto type....
Inverted Center back is a rare stone to get. Chelsea are lucky to get him 😊
I see what u did there. "Stone" like John "Stones".👍🏾👍🏾
Invated CB someone like David Luiz
the player enzo maresca will use heavily in 2024 season is kiernan dewsbury

I hope sometimes you can make your tactical analysis with video clips other than just pictures.. I enjoy watching your tactical analysis .
Next one will have
Bro you literally a teacher
He's more of a Lb, Lwb,Dcm, CM, he played a lil. CB but I don't see him as a CB, is cucurella more versatile backup..
Nahh. He is just one of chelsea signing to be loaned out to jacked up his re-sale value

Great tactical analysis on the inverted FB.
Great analysis 🎉
Thanks bro
Kazi fiti man
Inverted Centre back???? Isn't that called a Libero, like Franz Beckenbauer, and Franco Baresi?
We need analysis on Sonia bompastor philosophy
A David Luiz kind of defender. He will cook because he’s cheap

It was his first season guys Jackson will be a top striker
I don’t know if he can invert and play DM Bro. All the Basel scouts have bad things to say about him
The clips are from when he started in midfield, not from when he stepped up into midfield from defence
Whats the difference
