when I get to exiting the clone mask, I do not get the object clear of the mask, and selected. The object is still covered with the mask color.. if I go to opt+click and then try to cover the stray hairs, it does nothing. I've gone back over the tutorial numerous times and I'm not seeing what I am missing. Thank you!
ANSWER: Prior to selecting the Clone Stamp Tool you will need to invert the selection by hitting (on Mac) Shift + Cmd + Option in order to clone the flyaway hairs. If you don't don't this, you will end up painting in areas you do not intend to paint on.

Not working on a gradient background or a background that is solid with color difference...
In a clean background like in this image, and studio as well is sooooo easy!
I am glad you like it!
No doubt this is the easiest method I've seen yet. Thank you!
Thank you Frank! You are welcome.

Thank you for the tip!
Winds up painting over too much of what I want to keep. Feel like this is just an alternative to using the lasso and eraser. Just not that great.
but does not work on a backround such as a event with led lights etc....
It may be a little harder if the background is busy.
